Do my older brother deserve to be called the most athletic? My dad doesn’t think so, and some of our coaches don’t think so either. While my mom may think that my big brother is the best athlete, others besides my dad are able to testify that I’m the best athlete. There are many reason that they say we are the most athletic.
From my brother’s side of the argument. He is shorter than me, but really stocky. He is also quick on his feet and he is way faster than me. He has been playing football longer than I have. He plays for a division 1 football program University of Memphis, and he is a starting Wide Receiver. We have been playing basketball for the same amount of time. We both played AAU, and we where both pretty good. He wasn’t interested in playing baseball and rugby. He also ran track in high school and that’s about all the sports.
My side of the argument I’m way bigger than him height and weight wise, and I am more a powerful runner. I have been playing rugby for 15 years about the same time my brother has been playing football. I had multiple D1 scholarship offers to play rugby. I also played for the U-19 USA national rugby team. I started playing football and baseball in the 5th grade. We played basketball together we where both pretty good. I played baseball for 6 years

We both played multiple sports I just played 1 more than him. There is something that he is better than me in. He is way faster than me which I understand, but I am powerful. When it comes to contact he doesn’t like getting hit because he is a pretty boy. I really didn’t care about the contact I actually love it. I think that the bruises and scares make me look good. My High school coaches say that he didn’t have a good work ethic and he was to lazy. I have more heart than him and that’s what going to differ me from him. So who is the better athlete I will have to say me. The evidence proves that I play more sports than him and I work
... pitcher in the league. Baseball is one of the best sports to play to keep you active and sharpen your reflexes. Everyone should try playing baseball at least once in their life. Or maybe even learn to just throw a few different kinds of pitches like curveball and knuckleball, incase their children grow up playing baseball.
When I went to a Mariners baseball game a while ago I met Felix and he asked me if I played baseball. I said yes. Then he asked me what position I played and I said pitcher. He told me never to give up because when he was little he wanted to go to the MLB. That was when I realized I wanted to play in the MLB.
Baseball is known as America’s national pastime, and has been played for over 100 years. Baseball can be a lot of fun, but is also extremely challenging to play, especially trying to hit a 90 mile per hour fastball. I am a very devoted baseball player myself, and over the years I have learned numerous key things about the game. Baseball does not only require physical strength to hit and throw the ball, but it also requires a great mindset, such as, mental preparedness, concentration, and a positive attitude.
Claim: I began baseball when I was 4 years old in little league where all the players parent and coach were with them along the way telling us what to do. And as i got older and more independent i started to know more and more of what as was doing.
Baseball means a lot to me. I’ve only started getting interested when Aiea was undefeated in the league matchups. Because of my competitiveness, I wanted to join a team that plays to win but have fun at the same time. I know I won’t be a great asset to the team because I have never played before, but I am willing to practice as hard as I can to get a position.
I started playing baseball right after I moved to Virginia, coming from California. At first I wasn’t that good, because I was only six years old at that time, but it was okay, because the other six-year old were not much better than me. It was the first time I was to play a sport, and it turned out to be my only sport later in
Little did I know my whole C-Squad season would come to this. School had finally let out, and we began to play summer ball for the VFW team, I was playing with older kids and the varsity coach, which both really intimidated me. Out of my element, I had lost all of the confidence I had in me, and possibly played my worst baseball ever that summer. I was so shaken and angry with myself, I truly began to contemplate the pros and cons of even playing ball anymore. After many days of thinking, I told myself, I will work harder and play harder than any other person on my team. After that season I had began something very new to me, which was lifting weights. Afterall I thought how easy can it be, it’s picking up weight and putting it back down, and i’ll be jacked in no time. Quicker than a flash reality hit me, and lifting was way more difficult than I had first thought. There was all the form and different types of lifts such as: Clean, Deadlift, Squat, Bench Press, all of the basics. My sophomore year began, and I was still far behind on my new goal, and that’s when I went to one of my best friends, John who is very stocky and strong, practically a pro
Baseball was always something my grandpa and I bonded over. Every day after school I would go to my grandparents house to wait for my dad to come pick me up from work. I was so eager to
I loved everything about the sport, knew everything about the sport, and simply wanted to be physically involved with the sport. I signed up for my local football organization and greatly anticipated the start of the season. My first season our team finished undefeated, winning each game with ease. I played offensive line and enjoyed every play, finally being a part of the sport I loved. My coach at the time admired my hard work and dedication, repeatedly telling my fellow teammates that we should all aspire to have a work ethic such as my own. At the end of the season, my coach suggested I practice to become a quarterback. A quarterback is usually one of the skinniest players on the team, a trait I certainly didn't have. If I were to be a quarterback, I would have to lose at least thirty pounds and practice almost every day until the next season. As crazy as the suggestion seemed to me at the time, I gladly accepted the challenge and almost instantly began to work to become the best quarterback I could
The first team I ever played for was Tobers Party Store. For some kids growing up, baseball was just another way to pass time during the summer, away from the grind of public school. For me it was everything. From the moment my eyes snapped open in the morning, until the time I slipped away to sleep, I had baseball on my mind. I loved to play baseball, watch baseball, and talk baseball. Nothing else mattered. Eating and sleeping were just "necessary evils" that took precious time away from my hobby. I anxiously awaited the day when I would be drafted into the professional ranks after a successful college career. Bubbling with excitement, I would explain my inevitable career path to anyone who would listen. Of course, the responses were less than empowering. "Do you know how good you have to be?", and the tried and true " Go to college and get a real job", were two of the more popular sentiments that the "opposition" hurled at me. Naturally, in my 10 year old mind, I knew they were delusional and I would prove them wrong.
I grew up playing in Tuscaloosa, Alabama, playing in a baseball league in Hillcrest. When I was ten years old I started playing travel ball with a team from Columbus, Mississippi. I went to public school until I was in fifth grade and then transferred in sixth grade to a private school. The school is named ACA (American Christian Academy) and I went there because I knew that they had a very successful baseball program. I knew going there could help me get looked at by colleges because of their good reputation of
My team and I, who have been playing together for years, were all good friends. That season was when one of the owners of the league i played for went up to my coach (who was also my dad) and asked him if I was interested in joining the league’s club soccer team. I was so excited about doing it, but I also didn't want to do it at the same time. The summer before I played that season my brother had gotten me into liking basketball so I didn’t know what to do either stay in soccer, or start playing basketball. I also didn’t want to leave my team I was playing with because we had been playing together for years . So I end up declining the club offer, and finished the rest of the season with my team. I also ended up choosing to play basketball as my next sport and i still am playing basketball (I am hoping to try out for the GCA basketball team) as of right
I have been a fan of the game of baseball for 25 years. I played little
However two years left him unathletic and rusty, he was moving like he wasn’t as good as he used to be, and I was in top notch shape. I beat him in a pickup game 7 to 21. A gang member like him, getting trash talked by someone like me without him even being able to say anything because I had beat him so bad left him angry. His friends watched me embarrass him on both sides of the ball. The next day I walked to the court stunned to see a dazzle of Piltus’ friends
For as long as I can remember football has been a part of my life in some way, shape, or form. When I was first born my grandfather said that I was solid and built to play football. I used to throw the football with my mother when I was a toddler and she always told me that when I tried to tackle her I hit really hard. My first organized football experience was when I was five. I had just moved to Manassas, VA from Washington, D.C. in 1994. It was around fall and that was right at the beginning of football season in the area. I remember telling my mother that I wanted to play, so she looked for a local organization for children. She came across the Greater Manassas Football League (GMFL) and that is where I began to play the game I love.
