I believe that wild animals should not be kept in captivity. All around the world there are zoos that hold endangered species and wild animals. I do not believe we should have zoos and that we should shut down all of the zoos and release all of the wild animals that are held within them. It is unnatural and unlawful for wild animals to be kept in a zoo. Animals were born in the wild so why do we take them out of it to put them on display? God had intently made animals wild, but yet humans try to hold them in man made facilities so little kids can come and see them. If a child would like to see an animal let him look in a book, watch a video of it, or even when they are older go into their natural habitat and see their true beauty. Keeping animals in a zoo that are supposed to roam the African Sahara gives them truly no purpose. If we put the animals back into nature we could most likely solve the problem of species being endangered. Parents want to take their kids to a zoo so they can see what wild animals look like in person but …show more content…

It can be said that taking animals out of the wild to put them into a display box did it. The amount of animals in the zoos all over the world would help rebalance the ecosystem if they were to be released. Animals are designed to react off of instinct and live in the wild, hints the phrase “wild animal,” and all because humans take them and put them in domestic facilities for learning purposes the ecosystem is being hurt. Would you put your cake into a plastic oven to be baked? No you would not, so why then would you put something wild in a fake habitat. You might say that they make the habitats as close as possible to the actual thing, but what kind of elephant has a bouncy ball in the wild?
