What is government? Government is a person or group of people who control and make decisions for a country. It has a number of particular roles to help make a country survive and function successfully. I believe that without the roles a government provides a country would not function and would eventually fail. Therefore, I think government is necessary because without it there would not be any provided protection, resources, and regulations.
Protection is something that keeps a person or group of people safe from harm. A Government provides protection to help keep people in a country safe and secure from potential threats outside the country. For example, if a country did not have a government then anyone from outside the country could come and attack. There would be no protection from anyone coming into the country, stealing food, massacring people, and then taking over the country. Without a government, a country would be unsafe and potentially unlivable. John Adams said, “Government is instituted for the common good; for the protection, safety, prosperity, and happiness of the people...” ("John Adams Quotes"). Without a government protecting the country from outside threats, the people would then have to be on constant alert to guard their house and family. I think the best way to have a successful country is to have not only government protection but also resources.
Does a government provide resources for the citizens in the country? Yes, a government provides many resources for the people in the country. American states each have individual political cultures which are important to our understanding of their political environments, behavior, and responses to particular issues. While voters probably do not consciously think about political culture and conform to that culture on election day, they seem to form cohesive clusters in different areas of the state, creating similar group political ideologies. Because of these similarities, it is possible to measure the dominant political culture within states or areas of a state, gaining insight into the mind-set of state residents. Whatever the state culture, whether liberal or conservative, participatory or exclusive, political culture identifies dominant, state-wide trends. The question remains whether there is an accurate way to measure this political culture phenomenon in the United States.

...n a government is the group that states what is to be socially acceptable and what is not, it greatly hinders a person ability to act as an individual. Whether it is the fear of being classified as abnormal, false or unjust imprisonment, or making a show out of large groups of the abnormal people, it is all in order for the government to maintain control. Within both of these contexts it is more important for there to be a strong central government than to allow a person to truly be an unique, which in return takes away what is considered to be a persons right.

Declaration of Independence states “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.--That to secure these rights, Governments are instituted among Men, deriving their just powers from the consent of the governed”[5] By this can be concluded that a government is just when before the law all men are equal, That we the people have rights, and it is the role of the government to protect and insure those rights. By establishing a government to fulfill that purpose is to establish justice.
As the Declaration of Independence states, everyone should be able to uphold the rights of “the enjoyment of life and liberty…and pursuing and obtaining happiness and safety” (“Declaration of Independence”). A well organized government can ensure these rights.
A. Government is the necessary evil that is merely convenient on the short run; however, a majority of governments are not beneficial toward the people and it fails to pertain to the service of the community.

government’s ability to hold true to its true purpose, which is to establish a government
Government effects my life everyday in a vast variety of ways. From the quality of the milk that I drink in the morning, to the license and Insurance I need to drive my vehicle to school and work. Government also effects the taxes that are deducted from my salary. The government uses this money to protect consumers and provide services for the public amongst many other things.
In conclusion, although a government should protect life and prevent loss of property, these protections are not guaranteed. Competition and crime is still a problem even though a government exists. Even today, throughout the world, inequalities still exist. Although governments exist there is still no guarantee of equality or that every life and all property will be protected.

Justice is a vital part of governmental systems. Justice is a way to control the activities of citizens without infringing on their rights. Without justice, the acts of the citizens living under a government could not be very well controlled. There would be no punishments for bad behavior with would make this type of behavior more common. Even though justice acts as a way to loosely control the acts of citizens, it doesn't affect their liberty. Liberty is freedom. No one would want to live under a government under which they have no freedom and are controlled. Defense is also very important in a government. The protection of the people should be in high priority of the government. The government is there to serve the people and make life better for everyone. If they don't protect the people then there is no point in the government.
