Topic: Against Prejudice: We should never judge people.
Opening/Attention:
Have you ever judged somebody before? I have. I’ve judged a lot of people before. When I was young, I saw somebody smoking or drinking alcohol, I would consider that he is a bad guy. Because my mother told me to get away from someone who was smoking or drinking alcohol. And almost every villain in the movie smoke and drink. Now I have grown up, and I rethink about this. Eh. Is this true? You are a bad guy because you smoke or drink alcohol. Probably not. People could smoke or drink for fun, for relaxing. Or maybe they are stress out and cigarette helps. I couldn’t have the conclusion that people are bad because they smoke or drink.
However, how did I think that way when I was
No.
Facts, data, expert opinion:

While driving behind a vehicle plastered in bumper stickers, the first one to catch someone’s attention may say “Real Christians don’t judge.” Most will not give it a second thought, while others may analyze its message and the individual giving the message. In general this sticker may be found on a variety of vehicles. The vehicle itself is not as important as the individual driving it. While discussing this bumper sticker it will be important to understand where it is found, the fallacies it involves and the problems with the argument.
“Do to others as you would have them do to you (Luke 6:31).” And “Live by the sword, die by the sword (Gospel of Matthew 26:52)”

Chiu wouldn’t not write a confession/ apology to the Chinese government for the charges they falsely arrested him for. Mr. Chiu was going to fight and not admit to anything until he woke up one morning to a man moaning. He got up and looked to see who was moaning to find out it was a young man who was tied to a tree who was “wriggling and swearing loudly’. Mr. Chiu squinted to get a better look and he realized it was his student, Fenjin, who is a graduate from the Law Department at Harbin University. Fenjin was sent by Mr. Chiu’s bride to get him out of prison. Fenjin was being tortured by the policemen because the policemen said that, “He claimed he was a lawyer or something. An arrogant son of a rabbit’ and because he called the boss a “bandit”. Mr. Chiu, then knew he had to do something to help his student and
Sure, people try to let go of their sins and try not to judge. They try to be the nicest they can while listening to others. It’s known that people can think nicely towards others and remove their sinful actions and thoughts,
God is the only one with the correct classifications to judge us all. Lady Wisdom shows this to Matt and shows him that he is actually trying to be Gods judge because he didn’t save Missy (Young, 158). There seems to be a switch in everyone where we judge anyone that we see freely. We are all victims of judging another person. Why do we do it? There are so many mistakes within all of us, we are not perfect yet we compare ourselves with everyone around us. How is it that everyone conscious or not wants to take the place of the only true judge? It’s difficult to not judge something or someone right away, but we can’t do that, based off of the fact that there is actually no true joy to it; in the end we are just hurting ourselves. For Matt he had to see that judging someone else is not his place, nor is it any of ours. We either judge to feel better about ourselves or to be rude and prove a point. We may have not even known the person yet we judge them. When Matt was told to judge where his children shall go when they die he begged Lady Wisdom to switch places. He asked to go to hell while his kids went to heaven. Once this was said the realization of judging was not fun but it was hard and painful
... that ye be not judges’ (Mat. 7:1); all what the Lord is saying is that we should not judge unfairly. Without mercy and consideration. We are not to, in judging other be severe, condemn or hurt others but to judge righteously. We have a great responsibility both to keep our souls and the souls of our fellow men. The soul of every man is eternal.
Forgiveness (Luke 6:37): " Do not judge others, and God will not judge you; do not condemn others, and God will not condemn you; forgive others and God will forgive you." The passage teaches us that we should forgive others and we will be forgiven. We should treat others, as we want to be treated. Jesus never judged or condemned others no matter what they did to him.
In the bible it says that we should treat each other as we would want
One might be inclined to profess that we have no authority to judge, lest we open up the possibility of allowing ourselves to be judged. However, if we are just and consistent, is that
Proverbs 3:35 “The wise will inherit honor, but fools get disgrace.” This is the ideal when common grace is at work. Sometimes the wise will be disgraged in sinful society; sometimes a fool will be honored in a sinful society. Matt 5:11 – blessed are you when reviled for Jesus
Everyone in the world 1st, 2nd or 3rd class citizens have the right to choose who they love and form a bond and relationship with. No one has the right to say how a relationship should “look”, Why do some people put themselves in a position to judge others freedom of choice? Changing attitudes in gay relationships is something that is slowing becoming apart of society and its tolerance. Yes, most cultures have defined marriage as the union of one man and one woman for hundreds if not thousands of years.
...man”’ (pg. 19). This quote is true for all men American or Indian. Indian men, from what I have seen, feel very frustrated when people tell them what to do because it makes them feel as if they are not smart and childish.
Beggars with physical deformity- In developing countries like India this form of beggary is quite common. People who do not have a source of income cannot go to doctors or hospitals for their treatment. Their deformity becomes one of their means of begging. This is the most common form of beggary.
