Begging means asking people for food, shelter, money etc. Beggars are mainly found in public areas. Begging as we all know is quite common in India and other developing countries. There are many types of beggars – 1- Beggars with physical deformity- In developing countries like India this form of beggary is quite common. People who do not have a source of income cannot go to doctors or hospitals for their treatment. Their deformity becomes one of their means of begging. This is the most common form of beggary. 2- Beggars with a talent- They can be musicians, dancers. They can play instruments, sing, can do acrobatics or can be a tarot card reader. 3- Beggars selling something- This form of begging are quite common at present. These beggars …show more content…

For example, beggars who have some talent like singing, dancing, acrobat etc, they should be sent to institutes or some vocational schools or centres should be opened for them where they can enhance their talent and after a certain age work in such fields. This way they would become educated as well as earn a dignified living. Whereas, as far as, beggars with deformities are concerned, the government should take steps to provide them with medical facilities if they cannot afford one. As our constitution provides us with Right to Life, the government cannot leave them on the streets to die. The government should open old age homes and shelter homes where they can be taken care off. If a beggar is young then after curing his illness he should be sent to schools or centres opened for them where he could study. Other types of beggars like the ones involved in selling etc should first be given shelter and basic education. After that they should be given a choice where they can go for further studies if not hen they should be given some sort of vocational training whereby they can put their training into use and earn. Thus beggary should be treated as evil and policies should be framed that would help eradicating beggary from all over
