I think we should have a Basketball court in our local park. People all over the town would love to be able to play basketball. Many of the other parks in towns have a full basketball court but our park does not. Not only will it be better for everyone and more people but it will give our town a good name because we have a great place for every child and adult to have some fun and enjoy themselves.
Every other sport is offered at the park. Children play soccer and have practice for their team. Football games are held at the park, and volleyball nets are put up. But there is no place to play basketball. Every other park in town has a basketball court and some people from other towns come just for the basketball court. I don't want to have to
Times have changed and so have the rules that used to apply to American basketball. For over a long time until 2007, players that were considered to be truly elite were allowed to go to the NBA immediately without necessarily having to pass through college. However, with time new rules were instituted that are still being used to determine the eligibility of a player to be drafted to the NBA. The most stressed rule is the one on age limit, whereby players need to be 19 years before they can be considered for the NBA. In addition, a year has to be spent in college before any considerations are made. With the ongoing debate on whether or not to make the players wait for a year before going to the NBA, there is a reason to believe that the best
Look at the state championships Havre has in softball, it’s none. If we had a closer field to practice on, we would have more time to practice, leading to better athletes. Also, you probably know that the pool is not at the high school. So some students cannot attend due to the location and time. What is the cause of this you may ask. The problem is that we don't have the resources at the high school to practice there. We rely on community areas where anyone can go and it disrupts practices.

With five seconds left, the once psychotic crowd is now as silent as a lion stalking its prey. The ability of police to exercise discretion was originally designed to allow officers to maintain the peace by allowing certain types of crime to remain unpunished in certain circumstances. This essay will aim to explore the issue of police discretion that suggests that the application of discretion works against the interests of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. In drawing this conclusion, this essay will examine the relationship between policing ideals and the use of discretionary powers and the relationship between policing attitudes and the use of discretionary powers. A discussion regarding the use of police discretion towards Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples can scarcely be mentioned without making reference to arguably the greatest failing by a police officer since indigenous Australians were formally recognised as citizens. Further to this, the case of Mulrunji Doomadgee (Cameron) will be examined from the point of view of officer discretionary powers. The penultimate point to be made will involve the Anglo Australian response to this case as well as the ongoing relationship between indigenous Australians and the institutions that govern them. As mentioned, the first point will involve policing ideals and their relationship to discretionary powers.

Gender, race, and sexuality are socially constructed systems that act as guidelines, or rules, for how people interact with each other. A social construct often appears to be reality. However, when you step back and look at these systems critically, it is easy to see that gender, race, and sexuality do not represent a true reality. An easy example of a social construct is the game of basketball. Our society has created the game of basketball; we have rules for how to play, what to play with, and what to wear. However, if you stop and think about it, you could actually play basketball any way you’d like, but the game is only called basketball when you play by the rules. The rules define the game and give it meaning. The same is true for social
“Life is like a basketball, it bounces up and down.” I love basketball. I feel affection for the taste of victory, when you win a game. However, I also find losing a worthwhile experience. I worship the feeling where you score a point. It’s slow motion at first, as you gaze at the shot you’ve made, wondering if it is going to manage. Then the taste of your salty sweat and the sound of your pounding heart are back in action. *Swoosh* the ball rapidly swirls into the hoop and falls through the net. It is so stunning, and so breath-taking. “Beautiful shot! BEAUTIFUL!” the coach would yell. Everyone would give a little cheer, and I would smile and look down. I am proud to make the shot, but not cocky about it. It’s for the team, teamwork… I would think in my head. Afterwards, I would be focusing on how to get my head completely into the game, that’s how addicting it is.

It was a dream come true when I started playing basketball in my high school. Moreover, I was very good in it, and I became the team leader. Of course, I enjoyed every bite of the time I spent playing basketball.
There are two main factors going into this problem, one is that the children are not getting enough exercise, and two is that they do not a have a healthy diet. The diet can be fixed by having healthy options at school for lunch and talking to parents about providing a healthier diet. The next problem is exercise, now most schools will provide recess/PE for kids to exercise but a study has shown that recess/PE is not enough exercise on its own. Children need more time of exercise and play than the school can provide. This is where playing on an outside sports team could be of help to the children. Outside sports teams more competitive athletically and can push your child to be in better shape while providing the extra exercise the child needs. There are also research that shows that playing sports leads to a child having a healthier mind. In the article “A systematic review of the psychological and social benefits of participation in sport for children and adolescents: informing development of a conceptual model of health through sport” they talked about the results showing children who play sports have better psychological health.
