As a teacher you might notice that a lot of students easily lose their school supplies. Papers, binders, folders, chromebooks, pencils, and even passbooks. Think about it, middle school aged students typically lose their materials. So keeping track of all of those materials call for some serious responsibilities. Including one really unnecessary material which would be a PASSBOOK.
This reporter interviewed different students. She has done some research on how many kids like using passbooks. Nine out of ten students think that passbooks are unnecessary, as she reported These students think that they should not be required to have a passbook on them at all times. Only one out of the ten students said that they didn't agree and think that students should be required to carry a passbook This student thought this because, he doesn't want to get in trouble for being where he's not supposed to. As opposed to the other students, they think that students will cooperate more, because they are not obligated to hold a passbook and be somewhere.

Plus there are many consequences if you leave the classroom without one you are most likely going to get in trouble. A student in high school believes that passbooks are very unnecessary and tried to form a petition to eliminate passbooks off of her high school campus. A couple of teaches pitched in and helped find a better way to excuse a student from class. A teacher named Mr. Rogers decided that it'd be better if students carried a toy or any object. When students were given these objects, they returned to the classroom quickly, because they would not have wanted to hold that object the entire day, and would have been calmer if they returned the object and not have responsibility for
When students fail to hand in assignments or when a child acts up in class, lots say it both as a way of punishing for bad behavior or as a way to carry out a few extra minutes of learning time in a packed day.
Because as long as I live, I aim to find my purpose, my voice, which I find most during my times of advocacy.
First, allowing students to carry backpacks throughout the school day would save everyone time. Since backpacks have multiple compartments, they allow students to carry learning materials like textbooks, calculators, binders, and writing utensils. Students can use backpacks to transport laptops inside dedicated sleeves. As a result, students would waste less time at their lockers searching through debris for assignments and missing homework. Teachers, too, will welcome backpacks when they no longer have to squander valuable minutes writing locker passes. Less locker stops will reduce hallway congestion, expediting travel between classes. Without wasting the teacher’s precious minutes, students can get a drink of water, go to the bathroom, or take care of personal hygiene needs. . Even custodians will appreciate the practicality of backpacks when they are no longer interrupted from their busy jobs to unjam a muddled locker because of cumbersome coats and binders.
Legal issues have been questioned concerning the use of cell phones; do instructors or administrators have the rights to confiscate cell phones if used in class? Thomas Diamantes, of Wright State University, says, “In Tinker (Tinker v. Des Moines, 1969), the court established the "material and substantial disruption" test to protect freedom of speech and expression.” This court ruling, although not pertaining to cell phones, has helped to set the precedence for rulings concerning disruptive cell phone use and school rights.
Standardized testing is not the best way to measure how well a teacher teaches or how much a student has learned. Schools throughout the United States put their main focus on standardized tests; these examinations put too much pressure on the teachers and students and cause traumatizing events. Standardized testing puts strain on teachers and students causing unhealthy occurrences, Common Core is thrown at teachers with no teaching on how to teach the new way which dampers testing scores for all students, and the American College Test determines whether a child gets into college or not based on what they have learned during high school. Standardized tests are disagreeable; tests should not determine ranking of people.
...university needs to stop requiring packaged materials and should move away from textbooks that require one-time access codes. Also, they can reuse textbooks for several semesters because the core information remains the same from edition to edition, eliminating the need to constantly replace the stock with every new edition. Students would be held responsible for the condition of their assigned book, and will also be given the option of keeping it at the end of the semester. In either case, the school has options in place to recover the cost of the textbook should a student destroy or decide to keep a specific book. By implementing such a program, students at the University of Delaware will be less inclined to resort to illegal measures to save money, and they will certainly be less likely to incur even more debt as the cost of college tuition continues to rise.
More than 70 percent of students have said that they have stress caused by homework
Don’t you think students should take standardized tests? To start with standardized tests make sure schools are doing good. It also helps students prepare for later on in school such as elementary school, middle school, high school, and even collage. Even though it takes a while to get the test results back it only takes about 2 days to test. If students didn't take standardized tests how would you know how much they have progressed through the year.It will also give you preperation for next year.Sometimes the time depends on how long the students take to test. It not only tells you how good kids are doing but how well the teachers are teaching. It also shows and helps to know what subjects students are struggling in and what they're succeeding
A college education has become a necessity in today’s society. Money should not limit the opportunities of a brilliant mind. A child who is currently homeless may have the capability of becoming a world leader or curing cancer. Colleges should be free to attend and funded by the U.S. government because it will help students focus on their studies and encourage them to work harder in school.
Should We Have Year Round Schooling Systems? You sit in the hot, stuffy classroom zoning in and out to listening to your teacher. Tick tock tick tock the clock seems to completely stop. Your teacher has been reviewing everything for the last 15 minutes, everything that you learned last school year.
Attending college in today’s society is no longer considered a privilege but instead a necessity. However, many students are forced to attend college even if they don’t have the knowledge or money needed to be successful in what they plan to major in. In this generation, job openings are lowered to a minimum in which most college graduates end up with a college degree but no job to follow it. Not only do some students lack knowledge in which is required to be successful in obtaining a degree, teachers fill their students minds with false hope. Not everyone can achieve the college experience and have it turn out positively for a variety of different reasons.
Everyday there is a chance that students can forget something that they need in their backpacks which are in their lockers, but if backpacks were allowed in class then students would not have to miss out on what was being taught to get what they need from their lockers, so we should be able to bring backpacks because it would be faster to access the things we need. Teachers should allow students to bring their backpacks in class because it would be easier them taking them to their lockers. In a student’s view is that they should be able to bring their backpacks in class because they might have to turn in some papers if it was late, or missed the other day and it helps keep some personal items more accessible if no one wants to see them. They should be able to carry their backpack in class it makes it easier for transitioning between classes because they will have everything there with them in their backpack and not in their locker.
Imagine a world where you have to carry four 4.8 pound textbooks to and from school every day. It perhaps sounds unorthodox, but is what many students around the world have to endure. Not only that, but the already tattered textbooks are subjected to erode even more. Not to mention, parents can spend hundreds of dollars nowadays on a single textbook, according to the Public Interest Research Groups. These are reasons why students shouldn’t use textbooks for studying and schoolwork, whereas tablets would be a much superior option for doing so.
Have you ever got home after school and just wanted to relax? But then you remember that you have tons and tons of homework. You complete everything but you still have to print something out, but you don't have a working printer. You go into school the next day and you tell your teacher. The teacher looks at you with a menacing eye and calls it an excuse for not doing it. This is what happens to students all the time. As soon as a teacher sees a blank homework sheet, they automatically think you just chose not to do it. Therefore homework should be banned. Kids don't always have the time to complete the homework that was assigned. In fact, according to author Tami Ansary said that since 1981, the amount of homework given to 6th graders has
Yes, I strongly believe that college education should be free for everyone because Education is a basic necessity of our society these days. Free education wouldn’t just benefit one generation or one society but it can benefit the whole nation. If a nation is educated, then it can benefit the whole country and it can get better job opportunities for its citizens because in today’s world we can see highly paid jobs are knowledge based or require advanced technical skills. So in my opinion more educated nation would help remove all those flaws which are keeping country’s economy from growing rapidly. If the education is free in college then it can help a lot of those students who got good grades in their high schools but could not get into the college because of their financial situation. This way these kind of needy students who deserves to get a good degree and basically these students are future of America but they could not get it through
