Tires Consumers should be Told Everything that Matters Car tires are almost certainly one of the most important components in any automobile. A good, high quality set of tires always makes a huge difference in terms of fuel economy, safety, and handling while in motion. Accordingly, tires go a long way in determining the performance of a car. When shopping for tires, shoppers need to be keen to ensure that they get the best quality. However, making the decision regarding which tire type or quality to purchase can be a daunting affair, especially for inexperienced drivers or car owners. To aid the decision making process for the consumers, it would be prudent to avail as much relevant information to the consumers about the tires as possible. …show more content…
In this regard, it is argued in this paper that consumers should be provided with information on the temperature resistance and traction of tires, tire ranking or rating, as well as the expected life in miles. This thesis is justified by several reasons, as outlined in this essay. To start with, different drivers have different needs as far as their car tires are concerned. One driver may be interested in temperature resistance, while another may prioritize traction, depending on an array of factors, including the terrain the driver uses, or the weather. As such, limiting the information which the …show more content…
When a tire grows old, the strength and integrity of its components diminish (Rubber Manufacturing Association). As such, continued use of a tire which has outlived its time may pose a serious safety threat to the driver and other road users. Such a risk exists even when the tire is new and has never been on the road before. Similarly, using an older or second-hand tire is not advised, since the tire may be faulty or have a problem (Rubber Manufacturing Association). Even when a second hand tire was used for a single day, the quality of maintenance affects its condition. On this note, the consumers would be helped by information regarding the expected life of a tire in terms of miles. With such information, it would be easier for a consumer to decide whether or not to purchase attire, by looking at how much of its expected life is remaining. Without this information, one would not know how many miles the tire should move before becoming a candidate of disposal. Providing information on the time of manufactures, commonly referred to as DOT is also important, as it enables the shopper to understand when the tire was made, hence make a decision of its age and potential reliability or lack thereof (Transport Research Board). Interestingly, the design and location of the DOT number raises questions of whether or not the tire makers had the consumer in mind.
During 2014 there was an ethical dilemma that occurred at Canadian Tire. There was an employee named Samantha and she held the position of a Supervisor at Canadian Tire. Canadian Tire would give out Canadian Tire money to their clients depending on how much they have spent at the store and this was basically a marketing strategy for Canadian Tire whereby the clients could use the Canadian Tire money to purchase merchandise at the store. Samantha was in charge for restocking the Canadian Tire money at all times. Every time Samantha restocked the Canadian Tire money she would always withdraw few dollars out for herself and make adjustments on the paperwork and she would go to the Canadian Tire Gas station and purchase gas for herself. She went

Some where out there in the world, is a person who believes that driving a car in all four seasons is a piece of cake. But we all know thats not the truth. When it comes to both Winter and summer, they both have different temperatures and road conditions. In this paper I will be comparing and contrasting driving in both winter and in summer.
From both foreign countries and the United States, complaints state that the tires lose their casings when traveling at high speeds. The tire maker claimed it knew nothing of the tread problems until late July, yet consumers have warned the company since the mid 1990’s (Nathan). It also stated that the complaints it finally received did not raise any “red flags” because in relative terms, few tires had failed; less than one in every 10,000 of the 47 million ATX, ATX II, and Wilderness AT tires produced since 1991 have failed (Nathan). Most of the recalled tires came from the Decatur, Illinois plant, the main concentration of the investigation. The company claimed that a workers’ strike at that plant in the nineties, when replacement workers made the product, caused most of the problems.
Let's figure out how much force a typical car might use to push its tires down the road. Let's say our car weighs 4,000 pounds (1814.369 kg), and the tires have a CRF of 0.015. The force is equal to 4,000 x 0.015, which equals 60 pounds (27.215 kg). Now let's figure out how much power that is. If you've read the How Stuff Works article How Force, Torque, Power and Energy Work, you know that power is equal to force times speed. So the amount of power used by the tires depends on how fast the car is going. At 75 mph (120.7 kph), the tires are using 12 horsepower, and at 55 mph (88.513 kph) they use 8.8 horsepower. All of that power is turning into heat. Most of it goes into the tires, but some of it goes into the road (the road actually bends a little when the car drives over it).
Another problem that enhanced the difficulty in driving was the damages that were caused on the vehicles. The most affected parts were the tyres that became deflated over time with an increment in the damage on their rims. These, therefore, inflicted many repair costs to the drivers of both the public and the private vehicles.

However, most of customers are blind and ignorant on it. Many of them don’t even know the automobile layout of their sedan after use it for decades.
All of these factors are important to monitor as this will directly affect the decision making process. Bike size and price range will help to determine the size of the market as far as existing competitors and estimate the base price in each market segment. Product dimension sensitivity and preference indicates the expectation of the products from our consumer’s viewpoint. It is important to interpret the market segment reports and to analyze how the segments are influenced by advertisement such as televisions, magazines and internet. It is important to invest money in advertisement media to attract consumer in each market segment without over spending or under spending. The media viewing habits help to determine the best way to reach the customer for each segment.
Labeling theory is derived from the idea that people see themselves through the eyes of others. Individuals have different meanings set aside for similar situations. For example, society might define something as criminal, while other individuals do not. This is the case for several moral vices, such as marijuana, or the use of the death penalty as a method of punishment. When there are negative meanings and interpretations for actions, people tend to label others based on their “evil” actions.
buying tires is a necessity we have to find a way to make them excited
One of the most important part of any car is the tires. Tires are in constant contact with the road, and like the Goodyear commercial says, “So much is riding on your tires.”
