1. I really enjoyed "the machine that won the war". I really do not like reading but this story was actually pretty good . I was kind of confused at first, but I finally understood and I really enjoyed it. 2. The genre of this story is a science fiction. It is a science fiction because it talks about Aliens and other plants and or things not of this world. 3. The exposition of the machine that won the war is that three men are in a computer room celebrating the end of a war with another planet all thanks to MultiVac, the super computer. The rising actions are when Henderson explains how the data being fed to MultiVac was corrupted, Jablonski discrediting himself and states how he knew how MultiVac was malfunctioning, and when Swift states …show more content…

The main characters are swift and Henderson. Both men debate who really won the war. Swift first name is Lamar and he is the executive director of the solar Federation and he believes it was MultiVac who won the war. And exact date is not given but "the machine that won the war" takes place somewhere in the distant future. The story takes place in an underground chamber of the largest supercomputer of the world, MultiVac. Yes there can be more than one setting. Another setting would be the home of the Denabinas, in which, MultiVac destroyed. 7. Isaac Asimov was very talented and writing such an amazing story. The setting really can be seen by certain words and details that he uses.
