Student often have a tendency of slack off on subject, activities and other thing when it becomes too difficult, it important to motivate and guide them so they can feel the support to find a way to push himself to accomplish more to make their family proud.
Effects on Achievement Years ago, it was believed that if you had too much knowledge would eventually make one insane, but now in modern time, we can see that without it in life, wouldn’t advance and it would collapse. In order to increase student success at Anaheim High School, we must have longer school hours because it will help us in college and in the real world. Another way to improve student success in Anaheim schools is to be willing to learn the material and put the effort in order to receive intelligent as a result. In the Article The Secret to Raising Smart Kids the author states, “ We recommend other effort their effort: “‘Wow… that’s a really good score. You must have work really hard”’(25). This statement shows if student studies and practice and learn the material it is possible for a rewarding result of passing the test/ class. Also, another thing that relates, “ Confronted by a setback such as a disappointed test grade students with a Growth Mindset said they would study harder or try different strategy for mastery the material” (23). One problem I have noticed that there are still students at my grade level who do not take education in a serious matter and will have lack of education performance because of the lack of not having a positive mindset and those are the students who are more likely to not be successful. The author Paul Tough made a point, “Finally, in December, she left she had internalized enough about comma splices and dependent clauses, and she handed in her final English paper without going over it with the writing tutor. She got an A” this shows how Kewauna had felt confident because she had been using the practice of how to correct herself on writing a paper. She became confident and had the courage and turn in an assignment. It was not because of Kewauna’s intelligence that gave her an A but it was because of her mindset of pushing herself to work hard to receive a good result. The author also stated. “Still, it was a difficult semester for Kewauna. She was always short of money and had to economize everywhere she could. At one point, she ran out of money on her meal card and just didn't eat for two days. She was studying all the time, it felt like. Every paper was a challenge.
