Running as fast as I can, all I am focused on is the white and black ball rolling hurriedly in front of me along the freshly cut green grass. I see a red jersey running towards me, preparing myself to get past her I consider how many people are counting on me. I look up for a teammate, then decide to go for a one-two. We succeed on our one-two touch and now we are headed for the goal. I chop defenders one by one using my speed to get past them, but always focusing, never getting too cocky about the skills I have gained in the past. Knowing I am not the best on the field, but staying confident to never show any fear because I know I have a team of girls behind me which are always ready to take on our enemy. Seeing my team as my family, getting close to every single one of them over the years and knowing they will always have my back is the …show more content…
On the field we all make mistakes, but it’s the way you work to correct those mistakes and your attitude toward the game and other players once the mistake has taken place. When you react in a positive or negative way this will show a person's true character. Ever since I was three I have been playing soccer, people have always questioned my ability to become a talented soccer player. After the doubt from so many people the feeling I get when I look up and see the shock on their face feels better than anything in this world. No matter what type of mood I am in, once I step on that field for a game or even just for practice my mood automatically changes to a feeling of joy and excitement. It is something about the vibe that soccer gives me that exceeds the best feeling in the world, and makes me feel so comfortable. I can be myself on the field and if I ever need time alone or to get my mind off of something I know that the fields relieves me of all my stress and clears my

While I have developed my soccer skills over the years, the relationships I have built with people are treasured more than my ability to play the game. Playing soccer has granted me the opportunity to be surrounded by an extensive family of people who truly love me. I am forever indebted to the sport for bringing me into love-filled relationships with players and coaches alike.
There were several factors that played into why I chose to attend Truett-McConnell. I have played soccer since I was five years old and ever since I started I had a dream to play college soccer. My dream was to play soccer at Samford University in Birmingham, AL. My aunts, uncles, both grandparents, mom, dad, and now older brother have all attended Samford. Going there would have been fantastic but God had other plans for me.

First of all, you must take control of the ball and decide what to do with it. You only have two options. You either carry the ball on your own trying to score for your team or you pass the ball and move to get back the ball. Second of all, you need to use the inside of your foot to be more accurate. With you knowing what part of your foot use, choose the person you are passing the ball to. To choose who are you passing the ball to, make sure your teammate is open, that there are none of the opposite players near your teammate, and that your team will make a smart play to score. If an opposing player is near, there is an immense probability for the other team to intercept the ball. Along with that, the other team might score against
Growing up in El Salvador, soccer was a sport that significantly impacted my childhood. My cousins and uncles taught me how to play soccer, as well as various techniques that would later benefit me on the soccer field. At the age of seven I started to play for one of most well-known soccer clubs in El Salvador. Practicing twenty three hours a week was really paying off, as I could see in my medal and trophy gain. Not only did they represent my accomplishments, but they also gave joy to my teammates, community, and family because they were the people who encouraged me to give my best. Playing soccer was also a way to release stress because when my family was going through hardships, it was easier for me to let all of my negative energy on the
Passing and beating defenders down the line come effortlessly to me as if I don’t even have to think about every move I make and it just comes naturally. I remember a horrible day I had one time. I accidentally slept in one morning and had 10 minutes to get ready so I came to school looking like a complete mess. Later in the day I totally forgot I had a math test so I basically failed it. I got home from school already in a bad mood and my dad starts yelling at me for the dumbest reasons which puts me in an even worse mood. Thank goodness I had practice later that day because it honestly saved me. Right when I start to play I instantly forget the terrible day that I just went through. Everyone has that one outlet that makes them forget all of their personal distractions and once they find that escape, they will never want to leave. It seems as if I temporarily step foot into a completely different world where I know I
While playing soccer through the years, I have learned the importance of being a team player, a leader, and to think outside the box.

He uses a plethora of self-imagery and examples form other psychology areas to drive his point across.
“Football is more than just a sport, it’s a community.” Jack Lang, professional soccer athlete for Rio De Janeiro, Brazil, tells Sports Illustrated, “The language and its use of words both hold a mirror to [a] society, reflecting its nuances as well as embellishing them…the game and the language that describe it are engaged in permanent dialogue -- jostling for position, conceding ground, stretching before snapping back in reconciliation. ” Lang, having since been playing on the Rio De Janeiro football team for his first time in 2013, didn’t realize what a huge symbol of hope this sport brought to people. The more games he played the more hope and joy people would receive (Lang, The Far Post 2013). Lang wasn’t the only one to recognize this; in fact, many non-governmental organizations use soccer’s communal attributes to promote peace within nations.
I was always taught that soccer was to be about the love of the game and that it should be fun. Unfortunately, I faced many obstacles that I needed to overcome before I could truly love the game for what it was worth. I grew and continued to love the game, knowing little at the time of the obstacles I would be faced with, and would need to overcome. My struggles with soccer began early in my life. I was an average player, who had a drive to succeed and go far.

These steps are long and hard but soon I will be playing with the pros. If I follow every step I will make it. I will work hard every day to be the best I can be on the soccer field. I will practice every day and make sure I perfect
Feeling every pulse, the piercing of the cleats in the earth, the sweat running down your face is mesmerizing. The audience cheering and clapping feeling the excitement they display fuels you even at your most exhausted point to me is just exhilarating taking down every player. These are the motions and the feeling that I encounter as I play with my team as one each one like my brother. The best part of the game is the war and finishing up a great night with a win. But even when we find ourselves in a position where we lose we do not let heads down and I like that only because it shows me that we are human and we are all destine to fall one day but the way you handle it what God looks for and that is why I like being on the field it is not only a test of physical strength and endurance but also a test of your ethics and the way you carry yourself in
