Second it can help people fight their cancer. Lastly it is known to be less harmful than other legal drugs such as oxycontin. The first reason why medical marijuana should be legalized is because it can help people that suffer from epilepsy. We know that it can help people with epilepsy because Charlotte was having over 300 seizures a week. Once she started taking medical marijuana she only had 1-2 seizures a month. According to a document on CNN by Sanjay Gupta “More than half of the Utah children with epilepsy who are trying an experimental marijuana extract are having significantly fewer seizures.” …show more content…

One example showing that it can help fight cancer is Brian Scott’s story. He was 18 years old when he found out he had it. Brian Scott was trying his hardest to fight leukemia. He had tried everything that he had possibly could he went through a lot of chemotherapy and this leukemia was still taking over his life. he eventually gave up he wanted to live his life to the fullest with the time he had. One night his mom was doing research and she found medical marijuana. From reading on she decided that Brian should try it. It is not legal in Utah so they had to travel somewhere where it was legal.
