Think of a world with no adorable red pandas or no grizzly bears. What a world that would be like? Everyday an animal gets hurt or dies because of illegal hunting or habitat loss. Endangered species are when an animal is close to extinction because of over hunting, over fishing, or even habitat loss. Hunting is not okay and it has to stop. Although animals are nice to see and very friendly, nevertheless, killing species is detrimental because it's very bad harming one specie because it can throw off other animals food chain and once a species is gone, there is no way of ever bringing it back.
Why exactly do people hunt? Why even simply hurt any animal that is already endangered? We need to stop the over hunting or habitat loss that happens everyday. In one of my articles, it states that laws have been in the making to limit hunting and development (1 Sexton, Jennifer and tom Warhol) . For example, let's say that the deer population went extinct and the wolf population ate those deer. The wolves population would decrease tremendously because they don't have a big food source and they may only have little things like rabbits or birds.
There is no chance of getting an animal back because once an animal is gone there is nothing you could do to bring it back to life. Why do

Of course some people use poaching as a way to make money. In africa, people make money by selling rugs or some sort of item that includes the fur of animals. Im sure that there is another way to making money and to stop the over hunting. Sometimes, human beings themselves hurt an animal's environment. You may not know that an endangered species lives there but you are hurting them one by one by leaving your remains. People sometimes kill species for their own safety (Charlotte Allen is the author of "The Human Christ: The Search for the Historical Jesus.")
While some people may think that they’re “protecting” the animals from extinction, that’s not something that they should be doing. That is a job for zoos and animal protection facilities. People should just visit the zoo if they want to see the animals that much
Poaching is a serious crime in most parts of the world, but mainly in Canada. What most hunters do not understand is that it is illegal regardless of the animal or the reason. Poachers do not take what they are doing seriously or they would not be poaching still today. There are a lot of ripple effects to committing this crime- for example, if the number of deer killed in Indiana every hunting season was not watched or controlled it is very likely they could become endangered in our area. If it continued it would lead into other areas as well. There has to be a limit on all hunting to control the population of all species and that is why this can become such a problem.
Elephants, rhinos, and tigers are the top animals that poachers usually target, but those are not the only animals hunted; whales, sharks, sea turtles, and pangolins are hunted for their parts as well. Poachers usually only hunt the animals for one major reason which might be worth the most money. For example, elephants are killed for their ivory tusks, tigers for their beautiful striped fur, and rhinos for their horns. Poaching has been a serious problem and at an all-time high in Asia and Africa for many years. In 2017
Hunting centuries ago was a cruel way of survival for humans but now it's no more than a violent form of recreation. Hunters should only hunt if they need it for sustenance which most
We, as humans, mistreat the animal population. On a smaller scale, the human population wastes domestic and wild, animals for medical testing, for their fur, and for entertainment such as dog fighting. These things may not seem to be globally threatening, yet the constant waste of certain species of animals and the destruction of an animal's natural habitat will lead to the endangerment and eventually the extinction of the species. Furthermore, many people are unaware that the world is currently in the midst of the largest mass extinction in history.
Long past are the days when poaching was simply commoners hunting on owned property. Poaching is now one of the biggest causes of modern extinction. Today’s poaching does not only consist of animal poaching alone. Modern poaching includes the standard killing or theft of endangered animals as well as supplying exotic bird markets, illegal fishing or over-fishing, illegal harvesting of timber and exotic plants, and acquiring laboratory animals for Western pharmaceutical companies (Lemieux and Clarke). Hunting in itself is not inherently an evil thing, as many rural communities survive off of hunted meats and other “bush meat”. In ancient Eastern Asia, hunting was a lifestyle that was sustained by local communities that did not have economies reliant on mass trade. The aboriginal people would hunt largely for personal consumption, both for meat and use of body parts of all of their prey for various medicinal
Humans have been hunting practically since the beginning of time. Take a moment to look back at our country’s founding fathers and Native Americans. People in that era hunted as a means of survival. We all possess the skills of stalking prey. It’s in our blood. Hunting is automatically instilled in us being at the top of the food chain. Although looking back into history, one can also find that some hunting has diminished animal populations practically to the verge of extinction. However these facts have not gone unnoticed. If hunting is well regulated, whether it be for sport or recreational involvement, and there are no major affects to the species, if anything it may help bring back species from the edge of extinction. “Several wildlife managers view recreational hunting as the principal basis for protection of wildlife.”(Lebel)
Before diving head-first into the many cruelties of poaching itself, there is a question to be answered: Why would anyone wish to become involved in this practice of illegally hunting animals? Believe it or not, some see benefits in joining in this ‘profession’. To explain these possible benefits, elephants and rhinoceroses will be the main animals used while on the subject of poaching. Referring back to previously stated details, elephants are hunted for the ivory inside their tusks. The cost of ivory has skyrocketed, and the price of ivory has risen to an exorbitant high of $1,000 per pound on the streets of Beijing, China where ivory trade activity is more than twice the activity in Europe and North America combined. The price of rhinoceroses horns have also dramatically increased to nearly $30,000 a pound because many residents of Asia believe ground rhinoceros horn is a cure for several fatal illnesses such as cancer. These high prices that people are willing to pay creates a large incentive for p...
The topic of hunting has always been filled with controversy, excitement and trepidation for the environment. Both sides have varies ideas as to what is wrong and right. I realize that many people do not understand why people have to hunt or why people do hunt. One of the questions that kept coming to mind is why so many people are against hunting when their ancestors hunted and without hunting many of them would not be alive today. This question is relevant because many people are becoming to be worried that animals are in pain when being hunted and that it is unfair for people to hunt selfless animals with modern weaponry, and with many people going against the right to own guns.
Poaching is when a person illegally hunts and kills wildlife. Usually poaching occurs when an animal is on land that is not their own or a poacher is hunting specific species of animal which is illegal to hunt.
Imagine a world where there are no animals anywhere. There are still the ordinary cows, pigs, cats, dogs, but there is not a single tiger or rhinoceros. People all around the world have been killing animals for thousands of years, and they need to stop and obey the laws. Make your voice heard for the animals; they can’t speak for themselves so we need to do it for them. Other reasons why animals are getting put on the endangered species list and or going extinct: habitat intrusion, pet trade, climate change, and disease.
In How to do Animal Rights, Isacat brought to light the issue which includes humans are becoming responsible for the mass extinction of animals. Humans have been the “enemy” of animals for millennia’s, because of the actions we’ve been taking against them. These actions include eating, wearing, killing them for sport, and experimentation, all to meet the demands of the increasing number of people living in the world.
If this trend continues, by the year 2055, the number of species which are hunted could be increased. reduced by as much as 81 percent. (Satchell 31) Not only does hunting reduce the number of animals, it can also be unnecessarily cruel to the creatures. When deer are bowhunted, they often are. not instantly killed by the snare.
Although it may not seem saving or protecting endangered animals is important, it actually and truly is important because animals around the world are being killed for wildlife marketing purposes which is illegal and destroys the species population in that environment. Citizens should take more care of these endangered animals before they become totally extinct and will no longer be seen on the face of the earth. Recently researchers have found that poachers (hunters who hunt animals for their value by trading illegal merchandise) are killing thousands of animals a day, and they are doing so even to this day. These species should be treated with more responsibility and care. They are even being killed by human interactions such as deforestation, oil spills, etc.
Animal poaching clearly has adverse side effects that affect the wildlife population, the environment, and the economy as a whole. In our recent times, elephants, rhinos, and tigers among others wild animals are among the most hunted animals that are sold to the black market by poachers. Elephant ivories are of high value to buyers due to their manufacturing and art use, while tigers’ pelts, bones, and organs for their claimed unique capabilities to heal all kinds of dysfunctions and illnesses. As for rhinos, their horns are curved out for their therapeutic, aesthetic, and at times cultural value.
