In my exemplary society, murder committed with malicious and hateful intent is unconditionally prohibited. This is an extremely important law because it ensures the safety and wellbeing of all the members of my society. For a murder to be malicious, it has to planned, deliberate, and fully intentional. All of these factors have to be taken into consideration to ensure that the person who committed the crime was fully aware and responsible for what they did. For the murderer to receive the full punishment we need to be aware that they were not influenced by anything else like drugs, alcohol, and the environment. The murderer has to be fully accountable only if they wanted to murder another individual. Murder is punishable by life in prison. …show more content…

For example, if a murderer killed someone by beating them up, they should be tortured the same way. This way, the murderer will get treated the same way he/she treated the victims and get a taste of his/her own medicine. Thus making him/her face the pain that they put their victims through. On the other hand, if the killer is not fully aware of his/her actions or is guided by the environment or under the influence of anything, he or she should be put into trial and verdict should be given based on the nature of their situation. For example, in the criminal minds episode, The North Mammon, the girls, who were best friends, were put in a situation that was inflicted upon them and forced them to act in manner in which they normally wouldn’t act in. In the end, Brooke killed Kelly in order to protect herself as Kelly was going to kill her since she was sick. In a situation like this, many factors have to be taken into consideration to determine if Brooke should be charged as a murderer. In my society, Brooke would not have a face any charges because what she did was not her choice. She was forced to kill Kelly because of her own need to
