If volunteering was not around the world would be dirty, and not in good in good condition.Volunteering can help the world out.It can even help you become a better person. If volunteering was not around the streets would be dirty and filled with trash. And every where you go it would be dirty. For example the oceans would be dirty ,parks, and malls. First of all ,volunteering is important because it improves communities. A community is were people live. There a lot of communitys in the world.Alot of people volunteer in these communitys. It can be a city or state. According to the text ,"volunteering helps the world to be cleaner. And they work very hard to do that.".(sorce
volunteering is important in the public sector because it helps the public services save money other than the military as the military reservists get paid but it is still voluntary. I got all my information from the websites which are for the organisation. the benefits of volunteering are:
I learned about the importance of giving back at the age of 11yr old and putting the very important needs of others in front of my own. Volunteering in a homeless shelter at a young age opened my eyes. Where I was placed to give food, clothes, money & hygiene products to people in need. Where would I be right now without the help of God, my mother, family& friends and the church community”. Giving a helping hand to the people in the community is Something we should always do. In the ("bible Acts 20:35 says in everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the lord Jesus himself said: it is more blessed to give than to receive"). Having a compassionate heart for the community blesses the congregation.
If you had the opportunity to change the world and your life, would you? I have many experiences with volunteering and each time it has left an impressionable effect on me and benefitted the world because of it. Volunteerism gives a person the opportunity to change people’s lives, including your own. Volunteering is crucial to a functioning society and can better the world one person at a time. Volunteerism is essential to creating a functioning society, personal well being, and advancing careers.
Nowadays you can volunteer in different type of places. There are a lot of various organizations that need volunteers. What you can do to help these organizations are help clean parks, go to a foreign country to help from a natural disaster, etc. These are just some of the things you can do at these institutions. When volunteering the question is asked if people who volunteer should receive benefits or a reward for offering their service. I believe they shouldn't because if you’re receiving a benefit it becomes like a part-time job it takes the point of volunteering out of the equation. It also defies the purpose of doing it on your own free will with the purpose of doing good and helping others.
Volunteering is an important contributor to our society. It is also a great opportunity to learn different skills, especially young people, and they will become a part of who you are. Your future employers will thank you for it, as will any college or university that you decide to apply too. It is also a perfect way for everyone to meet different people and experience different things. Volunteering not only actively will help people; it also helps the environment. Most of all, it allows you to become a better person for what you have
...teer experience. I highly recommend volunteering to anyone, because of all the great things it will teach and because of the positive impacts it make on one’s life. Volunteering will teach an individual many of life’s greatest lessons, and lets an individual grow into a better person. Volunteering teaches to let go of their ignorance and false notions of world problems and lets the volunteer learn about the real, and sometimes unattractive, condition of people in the world. Many people think that one person cannot make a difference in the world, but volunteering teaches a person to at least try to make a difference in one person’s life and to build on that. Additionally, volunteering teaches a person to be leader who can inspire others to volunteer. Volunteering is an incredibly didactic experience that will forever inspire the volunteer to be a better person.
Volunteering in your local community is great way to give back and set a positive example at the same time. Let’s take a look at some of the problems in our community that affect many people.
A common trait that lies within human nature, is the idea of belonging. It is a basic human pursuit to have a feeling of purpose. This concept translates clearly through contributing to society. No matter how small, the impact of helping another person or idea in favor of a greater good has been a basic human instinct throughout history, and increases the feeling of belonging. For example, without the ambition of sacrificial people who contribute their time and safety towards inevitably bettering the lives of people other than themselves, where would we be today? I completely agree with Jonas Salk’s conclusion about how the role of volunteering and community service is not important, but necessary because it is essential in bettering both parties
Volunteering is so much more than a way to benefit oneself; it is a social activity in which one gains valuable skills. Finally, the easiest and most simplest way that one can contribute to the community is by donating. Donations do not have to be necessarily financial, they can be personal hygiene items, clothing, and even food. With this said, I plan to donate to my community every time that I am presented with the opportunity to do
A reflection of my volunteering experience can be summarized in two words: Life-changing. It is hard to explain the feelings that occur when you involve yourself in selfless acts for your community, such as volunteering. There is a feeling in your heart that you cannot ignore, maybe it is the happiness you feel or the overflow of emotions in helping others. In other words, it is a feeling in which you want to share with others. Maybe with a friend, maybe a classmate, maybe a family member, or maybe even a stranger. Either way, spreading how life-changing volunteering can be is a great start to making a positive change in your community by simply by involving others.
A common misconception about volunteering is that it only helps the cause. Often times that aspect is the only part that is highlighted when the topic of donating time comes up. There is a different side of volunteering though. Many volunteers donate their time to help better the community they live in and the people that live in it. When they choose to do this they not only help others but they are also helping better themselves. Volunteering benefits a person by building connections with peers, improving family life, expanding career skills, overcoming self doubt, having lasting life impressions, and creating new opportunities.
Booker T. Washington once said, “ If you want to lift yourself up, lift someone else up”. This quote is meant to stress the importance of volunteering and how it not only benefits the people in need but also the volunteers. Volunteering is an essential aspect of society because it teaches responsibility, humbleness , and helps save money. A wide range of people use volunteer services including senior citizens and disabled veterans. The Salvation Army is the world’s second largest nonprofit organization. The Salvation Army gets the majority of its funds by donations and from stores that are maintained by volunteers and the people that they assist. The stores use donated goods as their merchandise. Every cent that is made by the Salvation Army
In my opinion being responsible is important because other people are depending on your time. It does not matter where you are volunteering, you are always affecting the life of someone else. It is important to be on time and complete the tasks you are there to complete. Being interested is also important, especially when volunteering with people living with mental health disorders. Many of them get so excited to tell you about their day, which at times can be difficult for them to even talk to someone they don’t know, so it is important to stay interested in what they are telling you and be an active listener.
The Importance of Giving Back to Your Community by Volunteering Giving back to your community is a vital aspect of being a community member. While making financial donations to the groups of your choice is important, volunteering is also crucial. In fact, in addition to helping others, volunteering can actually be beneficial to your health. Research has shown that many people have reported feeling better mentally and physically as a result of volunteerism. You might even forge new friendships when you become a volunteer.
