Why Is It Important To Carry Firearms On College Campuses

It is not safe for students to carry weapons on college campuses.
(According to the James G Martin center for Academic Renewal, in 2015-time magazine reported that there had been 23 shootings on college and university campuses. The 23 shootings on the list resulted in 21 deaths and injuries across all public and private colleges and universities in the country.) Most people do not feel safe around firearms; for students, it disturbs their peace of mind when they are trying to study and focus. People would love to go to an environment where it is free from guns. When student’s observer other students with weapon they are also questioning themselves the purpose of firearms in an academic environment.
I personally wouldn’t want to go to class and see a student like me with a gun, it would make me nervous and cause me to focus less on whatever would be going on in class. Even though a student is licensed to carry a weapon does not mean he or she should carry it in college classes or campuses. College campuses or environment should be like church; it is a sacred place that nobody wants to disturb. Church is an environment where weapons are needed same thing in college. Both places have nothing to worry about.
Nobody is going to kill anyone or planning to kill anyone. If anybody plans

to kill a student than that’s why there should be security checking; there is crazy people out there who might bring a gun to kill their classmates for some stupid reasons. This could be another reason why people should not let guns on campuses and really make sure there is no firearm students. If there was a security check, nobody would have to worry about people getting injured or killed after a security check. The problem that young students have, is that they see guns as a cool toy to have.
This is not the case for other students who do not have one or own it, those students do not feel comfortable around those with guns, why?

They feel nervous that if anything goes wrong they might be the target. Now other students feel the need to have one on them just in case other student loses their mind and start shooting. Incidents deaths had occurred involving students. According to Foxnews.com there been a college student shot and wounded his roommate early Friday in their off-campus apartment, then killed himself as police tried to enter his bedroom, authorities said. Guns had changed the way people think. If it wasn’t for guns, nobody would have to get

shot.
Now since there are guns in the world, people are living with fear. Nobody cares if people are licensed to carry a gun or not, the only thing that they can think of is, there are guns around and they might be the victims if something goes wrong. As long there is no guns in an area than people won’t have to worry. High security should be setup, making sure that there are no guns with students or anybody that might enter a campus. Young students sometimes might get carried away with excitements while a gun and later and accident might happen.
Guns are frightening students even parents who are letting their children attend colleges where students carry weapons with them. The only way to promote safety is there shouldn’t be any guns at all.
