“I object to violence because when it appears to do good, the good is only temporary; the evil it does is permanent.” This was said by Gahndi. Violence is a very evil and is an ongoing thing. Violence can be done in many ways, but one specific way is with a gun. Gun violence in the U.S. is a pretty serious thing that seems to never end no matter what the government tries to do, and with guns being so dangerous and easy to get, controlling them would be the next choice for our government. Reasons for controlling guns are obvious, and so are the results. Gun control has lots of reason why it should be applied. A crazy man shot up a place of worship. This is important because if he didn’t have the gun, he couldn’t have shot up the church. This also means that this crazy man walked in any gun store and was able purchase a gun. Firearms are also very bad. “Firearms are the pandora’s box of the United States, and its open.”(King par.10) This is important because pandora’s box is a box filled with bad things. In the last ten years, the number of guns in one house has decreased. This is important because it states that people are actually giving up their guns. This also states that people’s houses are less protected. “Obama openly muses about an Australian style gun control regime that would incidentally take everyone’s guns away.”(Stafford par.6) This means that people will have their guns taken away permanently. This also means for the people who like guns that are obama’s fans, will no longer be his fans. “Even responsible gun owners wouldn’t be able to buy guns.”(“Here Are Obama’s New Executive Actions On Gun Control” par.3) This is important because it states that people won’t be able to buy guns as easily as before.
