Nowadays, when our world is running quickly on the path of the development, it is essential to have a well qualified and talented people who can make a significant impact on the development of a country. Thus it’s very significant to be educated. Nevertheless, it’s difficult to decide whether education is the only major reason for the progress of a country. In my belief, there are some factors which can provide steady development. These factors are education, background of a child and the cultural height. But, I strongly support the statement that education stays on the foremost lay in the growth of a country. A good education brings up innovative talent into the country which in result increases the job opportunities to more and more people. …show more content…
God has gifted us with so many natural resources, but because of lack of knowledge many people waste them unnecessarily .Wastage of these resources results in a shortage of resources for present as well as for the future and effecting growth of a country. As these natural resources are the main sources to increase the income of a country. If the people are educated, they can use these resources, in a good way. Education is also lending a helping hand to single mothers to find jobs and in better upbringing of their children .They will have knowledge of many schemes which can be useful for them for educating their children. A mother can look after his/her children from lots of unrelieved diseases, for example, AIDS. A child born to a mother who can read is 50 percent more possible to stay alive past age five. As well as, in Africa UNESCO did the survey that the lives of 1.8 million children could have been saved if their mothers had a secondary education.( Duncan, A., U.S. Secretary of Education) .Education realizes the potential and talent as a human being. They know how to utilize their time to be more productive in their work. Moreover, if families of the country are educated there will be a progress in the economy of a country. Uneducated families often push themselves into poverty and illiteracy, which hinders the growth of a country’s developers. Illiterate people have lack of information and skills .As a result they cannot meet the need of qualified job. Thus, in their life they keep on struggling for the good job and poverty. Therefore, it’s very essential to get a highly qualified education. Moreover, people can be more aware of family planning, better health and so many other things as well. It is said that “Education makes a man complete.” (Kautilya, an Indian philosopher). He explained the importance of education, some 2000 years ago.
In order to break through the status quo of poverty for generations, there needs to be more efficiency on education. In our current society, establishments would rather hire someone who well qualified with college degree rather than just a high school education. For our modern day survival we need education because it will give up opportunities and help we need to become successful. The higher a person educational degree the more invested opportunity to move up in the ranks in our
What does having an education means to you? Did you know that recently The United States Children Fund (UNICEF) portal has stated that education transforms peoples’ lives and bust the cycle of poverty? Also have you ever thought about how the human kind desires a decent life with great privileges, such as education and no one argues about that?
We live in a society where we are surrounded by people telling us that school/education and being educated is the only way to succeed. However, the school system is not up to the standards we want it to uphold. There are three issues we discuss the most which are the government, the student, and the teacher. In John Taylor Gatto 's essay “Against School”, we see the inside perspective of the educational system from the view of a teacher. In “I Just Wanna Be Average”, an essay written by Mike Rose, we hear a student 's experience of being in a vocational class in the lower level class in the educational system when he was supposed to be in the higher class. Both Gatto and Rose give their opinions on how the educational system is falling apart. Today the government is only trying to get students to pass, making it hard for teachers to teach what they want. Students are affected everyday by the school system. They sit there - bored - and do not think that the teachers care, making the
Education has always been in existence in one form or another. As each child is born into this world regardless of who or where they are born, life lessons immediately begin. He/she will learn to crawl, walk, and talk by the example and encouragement of others. Although these lessons are basic in the beginning they evolve as the child grows. However, the core learning method of a child does not change. Learning from others, they will watch, listen, and then act for themselves. Thomas Jefferson believed that an education would lead men and women to the ability to be self-governed and become positive contributors to society (Mondale & Patton, 2001). Today, we can see how true this is by the examples of others. Those that are given the opportunity for education are more likely to find jobs and develop skills that not only improve a community, but influence the economic growth of their nation (Ravitch, Cortese, West, Carmichael, Andere, & Munson, 2009, p. 13). On the other hand, if an education is not provided to individuals, they can become a hindrance to that nation’s growth.
Education could be considered an ingredient for prosperity. Education brings power to every aspect of the mind. When a teacher gives out a test and tells the students to put their items away, Students incline to take one last visually examine their study sheets. When the test is placed in front of a student, but as one or two go to answer the first question, they freeze in apprehensiveness.
Education is the key, and the power source to our future. Living in this day in time, no human should settle for less and not want to attain higher
Since I was little my mom told me that education is the tools and skills that makes people successful in life. Education provides the opportunity to overall developmental individual. But education has two different value for me which are the intellectual and economic. intellectual can help students to see the world different. In addition, education help to encourage and learn so many new things. for instance, in the essay “a pediatrician takes pride in her afghan cabdriver father” Waheeda Samady states how does cabdriver and her daughter has such as good communication and relationship. She explains how she
An education is something that one can keep for a lifetime. Acquiring a good education can affect one’s personal life, one’s community, and one’s entire generation.
A well-educated parent can have a better understanding of raising children and molding them for their adult life. For instance, an educated parent will probably make higher wages, therefore are able to invest more money in their child’s welfare. (Kaushal, 2014). Parents that raise their children in an impoverished environment most likely won’t have the money, which could decrease their chances of procuring the resources needed for their child’s education. Kaushal, (2014) stated, “Children learn from the attitudes and behaviors of their parents, which are often informed by knowledge, acquired through education” (Introduction, para. 6). For that reason, learning patterns of the poor social class could be passed down from one generation to the next which may make it more difficult for kids to gain a proper knowledge. Since culture is passed down from generation to generation, a parent’s actions may always affect the decisions their children make in life. This could make it extremely challenging for children to achieve a better lifestyle for their future families as
Education is generally seen as a formal process of instruction, based on a theory of teaching, to impart formal knowledge to one or more students (Cogburn, n.d.). Henceforth, individuals seek to acquire some form of schooling from pre-school through secondary school while others may go on to tertiary to better him or her in some way. A definition of education according to the Oxford Advanced Learner’s Dictionary is that education is “a process of teaching, training and learning, especially in schools or colleges, to improve knowledge and develop skills.” Where education in the common parlance has become a process of adding layers of one’s store of knowledge, the true aim of education is to call forth that which is essential to the individual (White, 2006). Furthermore, and according to Coombs and Ahmed 1974, education is a continuing process, spanning the years from earliest infancy through adulthood and necessarily involving a great variety of methods and sources. Education also involves inculcating in students distinct bits of knowledge; therefore education is an additive process (White, 2006). It adds to an individual as well as it adds to a country through the individuals who are and would have been or are being educated. According to a study conducted by Olaniyan and Okemakinde 2008, education creates improved citizens and helps to upgrade the general standard of living in a society. Furthermore, education plays a key role in the ability of a developing country to absorb modern technology and to develop the capacity for self-sustaining growth and development (Todaro and Smith, 2012).
With the global economy relying more than ever on brainpower and innovation rather than raw materials and manual labour as generators of wealth, a good education has become the key factor determining who will succeed and who will be left behind.
Education is considered to be one of the most is important thing in our life. we can say that education is the knowledge or the skill that can be taken . Education can teach us as individuals or communities the good things and the bad , it can help us to have a good choice for our future based on our strengths or weakness ( in high school you can gain these skills ) and direct us to our role in society . Some countries do not have good standards in education , resulting in a society having aimless lives. Some of them find themselves as criminals or useless people so they did not feel their role to improve their countries and most of them do not take their responsibilities toward their children, which make the children consider as negative citizens.
Education plays a vital role in shaping tomorrows’ leaders. Not only can we become a better nation by acquiring the skills necessary to be productive members of a civilized society. Increase knowledge to actively achieve and meet challenges that can produce changes in which are productive for attaining business innovations, political and economic objectives.
After twelve years of school, it took me until now to figure out exactly why I had been there all those years. It was not to torture me by making me learn how to spell but to make sure that my classmates and I got the opportunity to make the most of ourselves. Opportunity that would come from learning as much as possible from books and beginning to see that the world focuses on more than just history and English . I owe my success in life and school to teachers who taught me to spell and to be respectful and responsible. Those quick to argue with me say that school's usefulness is shallow: deeper-real-life experiences truly educate a person. School should be seen not only as a place to study, but also as a place to learn about real life. People cannot depend on experience alone for education just as they cannot solely rely on information from school books to prepare them for life. The lessons, whether from a book or not, learned in school transcend the classroom to real life situations.
In our culture today, there is a huge emphasis on education, especially higher education. Society basically says the more educated you are, the better off you are. That is pretty much true if you live by the means of society. The basic idea that education, especially a college education, is something that people should pursue even into their adult years is not by any means a new idea.
