Have you ever wondered why America is the best country in the world? Probably not because it’s obvious, but I’m going to tell you anyway. America’s gift to my generation is freedom. Also, the right to do anything I want to do as long as it’s legal. In multiple countries, you could be working in a factory for all of your life, even if you had special talents. You couldn’t do anything about it. If you live in a country with freedoms, you probably won’t even
acknowledge them. There are even more things that make America the best country in the world. You are allowed to criticize the government all you want. If you think there is something wrong with the government, you are allowed to criticize them on it without being killed or arrested. Another advantage of living in America would be the access of good food. In multiple countries, unlike the US, food is most likely really scarce and hard to find. what makes this the greatest country in the world today. For those people who want to
America has always been known as the land of the free, living in America you’re always taught on the idea of living the “American Dream”. That means the chance of being whoever you want to become, deciding the route you want to go in life to live. To most that also means to have a family to take care of and also to have a stable career, own a house, car and more. The part of the dream they don't stress you about enough is that it's not easy to achieve. It takes a lot of hard work in which a lot of people don't achieve unfortunately.
To be an American means more than just living in the country for a set amount of years. It means more than being granted citizenship, and more than just waving a Boy Scout American flag in your yard on Memorial Day. To be an American is to be free, and that is what we as Americans sometimes take for granted and forget. Being an American isn 't just living in the "greatest country in the world", there are plenty of other countries that say the same exact things. There are far less countries in this world, though, that are free, and have the American mindset. Not many countries employ so many freedoms and have the 'American dream '. The American mindset is not just something that
America is often known as the land of opportunity, a place where you can be free. Many Immigrants came to America so that they could have a greater possibility at succeeding in life. Immigrants took a leap of faith when coming to America, for some it worked out well but for others they had a difficult time here. Despite the struggles that the immigrants encountered such as; standing out from others, being separated from their families, and breaking their culture, the immigrants are still grateful to be in America because they were in better conditions than they were in their home land. When viewing interviews or looking at an immigrant’s perspective you get many responses to being in America, some major things that stood out were the amount of freedom the immigrant had, and the age of the immigrant. These two things had a huge impact on the opinion of America from an Immigrants point of view.
Everyone in America is given an opportunity to pursue any dream that his or her heart so desires. He or she will give it little importance, sometimes knowing or not knowing that it’s a once in a lifetime chance. In America, some people are given equal opportunity and some aren’t. Usually given at a favorable occasion, opportunity is something that can change an Americans life for a short or long term. Me being an American, if I was given an opportunity to make my life better, I would take it, but it is up to you as an person in America to make the best use of it.
The United States is not the greatest country in the world. However, for a very long time, people have believed that the United States tops the list. This is because of the classic lifestyle and technological advancements portrayed in our daily media. The United States is portrayed as a country of peace and optimum harmony. Consequently, we get the impression that United States is the best place to be. The younger generation seems to enjoy life to the fullest with almost no regrets. After all, most of us can drive a car at the age of 16; compare that to other countries at 18. We have access to pretty much whatever we need. Most adults are not constantly monitoring and hovering over their children. They have jobs and financial prosperity is huge compared to other countries. The security system of our country is depicted to be superb. In other words, nothing seems amiss. In fact, many citizens in the developing world have sought to stay in the United States with the belief that their life will be the best in the world. The search for green cards is ever increasing because of immigration. Statistics indicate that the American Embassies in most developing countries are among the busiest, which is a good thing right? Nevertheless, I believe that United States is not the greatest country. A close examination of various sectors of the country reveals that America lags behind in many aspects.
America, “The Land of the Free”, “The Home of the Brave”, “The Melting Pot”, “The Land of Milk and Honey”, “The Land Across the Pond”, “The Western World”, “Uncle Sam”, and most importantly “The Land of Opportunity”. America is still “The Land of Opportunity” because there is much more freedom in America than most other countries. There are no caste systems to limit what someone who is in America can do. Additionally an American’s destiny is created by his/her own choices, not the choices of his/her family or peers. America is a country founded by immigrants for immigrants, and although the Land of Opportunity has suffered an economic crisis in the last decade, it still maintains its reputation for being the greatest country in the world. The United States is still “The Land of Opportunity” because there are no caste systems, one’s destiny is made by his/her choices, and American freedoms are a part of everyday life.
America has proven they can help restore a country’s government when times are tough. After their bombs destroy a country, American planes drop off food for the starving civilians. Indeed, America has shown great leadership, yet they haven’t put as much focus on the problems that is in their own homeland. We are living in a country where the cost of living and minimum wage does not help feed a family, a government that spends billions of dollars to help rebuild other countries, also a man and women having the same college degree but struggles with a gender pay gap.
There are a lot of things america has done for us. We are so lucky to be such a great country. Like one thing that was a gift is freedom. Freedom is a very important thing. Some countries don’t have it but we do. Sometimes other countries get envious of us, so they try to take over, but another thing america has givin us are weapons to help us stay safe. Back then they didn't have as easy as we do. For example slavery. Slavery was a thing that involved African-Americans. They had to work for other people for free, they also got beaten to death. Then again its one of those things that america took away as a gift. Another gift america has givin to us is the advanced technology. Back then there
The America I believe in should be grateful that our government doesn’t control us. We should be grateful that we don't have to escape our country because we don't have a major war breaking out. We should also be grateful we have a roof over our heads and that we don't go hungry. China, Cuba,Laos, and North Korea are all communist countries where the government or dictator rules the people.
The view of the world differs from each human mind and eye. The view of even each country differs from human eye and mind. This happens to each country noticeable on the map. America, over years, has been depicted in numerous ways. From ‘sea to shining sea,’ dry deserts, musical woodlands, wet marshes, and across grassy plains, the multitude changed the world with each step they took the west. Voices cry out in degrees of passionate feelings. Some shout in proud patriotism, others whisper in silent melancholy, and it is certain the populace will definitely roar in pessimistic outrage if America seems to be heading in a worse condition. Helen Cohen & Lazarus Salamon, as heard in the recordings of their arrivals to America, were hopeful and bright about the future.
Ronald Reagan once said, “America is too great for small dreams.” Reagan's words, though short, are extremely powerful. America is indeed a great nation. Our flag is a symbol of freedom and a place where people can start a brand new life. America has given many things to my generation. Two of the most crucial gifts are our independence and rights. In this essay, I will talk about the importance of those two aspects.
“America’s gift my Generation” a true fact all American citizens should agree with. America gives freedom, freedom of speech, and gives people who are not even an American I chance for a better life. Now for American citizens they have a chance to become president. The government in American gives a safe place to live that we call America. In towns or city’s there are, police, firefighters, and a lot other that help keep your home town or city safe. When 9/11 struck the government didn’t want anything like this to happen again so they improved are security by a lot to make sure no one will be hurt or American the land of the free does not have to face another terrible attack. If you were to go to an airport you will see how tight security is.
What makes America so Great? Well, I could answer that a million different ways, like the fact that we have many different jobs/personal opportunities. In example, in many places in Mexico jobs are scarce; if there are jobs they are too dangerous. So many cross the border (between North America, & South America) to come to the U.S.A
November 8th is a very important day for Americans. This day is the day when American citizens select their president. This last election was very interesting. A lot of people who never give attention to politics found the political side in them in this election. The key of the suspension in this election was the republican nominee Donald Trump. Donald Trump had many racist speeches against minorities in the United states. At 2:00Am the next day, the election result confirmed Donald trump as the 45th president of the United States. Many people thought that President Trump is treatment against minorities was just political talk. However, after a couple of days in office President Trump took his first action by signing an executive order that stop Muslims from entering the United States. Many Americans around the United States protested against President Trump’s act. In these protests people used posters designed by the
