Why Is Algebra Important

Picture yourself sitting in a class not knowing how to do math. Math is very important in our everyday lives. Math is used in all of your classes; including chemistry, shop, art, or to find the percentage of any test grade. If you did not know how to do some of these math skills you are taught every day you will struggle with everyday thing you need to know.

Take cooking for example, you need to measure and find the perfect amount of ingredients to correctly make a recipe. Also making sure you are using the right measuring units so the recipe is not entirely wrong.

Do you want to build your own house? The planning of building will be so much fun until you do not remember how to do scale factor. Trying to think back to that 9th grade math class and wishing you would have payed attention

Have you ever considered owning your own football team? Well it may seem fun in all but did you pay attention in algebra, because how are you going to calculate the salary of your players? If you are the owner of a football team do you not want to know how to keep up with the game? Using simple algebra you can keep track of the gained and lost yardage, but if you can not do that simple algebra your team can not count on you for helping with plays or strategies.

Have you ever considered working with crime? Well I hope you were good at probability and statistics because that specific type of math will play a massive role in your everyday job. Normal Calculations will also be used for almost every job in the law enforcing career.

Now that I have made math sound like one of the most important thing that is on this earth it is time to look at the flip side. According to business insider being a Judge, a compliance manager, or a law teacher are all jobs that pay over 100,000 dollars a year and include very little to no math.
