My main goal is to have a successful life after high school. In order for this to happen, I have to maintain a positive lifestyle. The positive lifestyle will involve me participating in a STEM field of study. In the fall of 2016, I will attend the University of Alabama at Birmingham. I will major in Nursing with a minor in Chemistry. Chemistry will show me the difference in matter’s composition, reactivity, and properties. Being that everything changes around the world, STEM allows us to figure out new ways to manage information. Managing information allows us to better ourselves. We can then use the information to invent new equipment, which will provide us the ability to heal the sick faster. My previous statement simply shows how I aim to work in the medical field. After receiving my Bachelor's Degree I aim to pursue my dream of becoming a Pediatric Nurse. A Pediatric Nurse is one who nurses children from birth until the age of 18. I would enjoy this profession because I love being around kids. I also enjoy helping others. Helping others such as the old is great, but saving a child’s life builds a stronger connection due to the fact our children are the future. True enough our elders are the root to the future; however we can help both young and old. Nurses are the fire extinguisher to the flames. The previous statement simply means a nurse can be there when the doctor is not. A nurse can fully take care of his or her patients and satisfy most of his or her needs. It amazes me to see how one helping hand can better a person’s life. I love helping others by making his or her day better. I believe this career would be interesting, but also challenging.
