Why I Want To Be A Nurse

There were several reasons why I chose to purse a future career in nursing and to eventually become a Nurse Practitioner. One of the first reasons were because one of my aunts were a nurse and is now a Nurse Practitioner. Another reason is that I used to go on the Internet and look up what it was like to be a nurse. I also watch a lot of medical shows and surgery shows and the medical field has always intrigued me. Another reason is when I took a Health Science class my senior year of high school, that class really made me want to go out and purse my lifelong dream to become a nurse or a Nurse Practitioner. My aunt was the first person to open my eyes to the life of a nurse and Nurse Practitioner. When I was little child, I used to love to be around her just to hear her stories about being a nurse and how she loved to help take care of and heal all types of people. I always had this feeling inside of me that made me want to care for others and to make sure that they are okay and well. I also used to read my aunts books for her nursing classes just for fun. I also was intrigued to read anything medical related, especially about diseases and things of that sort. I would wake up every day excited just to go to the class and to learn all about the human body and how to care for it. I also loved that my teacher used to be a nurse herself. I had grew a good relationship with her and used to have a lot of discussions with her about being a nurse and what it takes to become one and an excellent one. She always encourages me every time that I see her whenever I go back home and see her. She always tell me that I can pursue my dreams and to never give
