To become a professional, you must have excellent communication and listening skills and to be able to follow instructions easily and to communicate with patients and family members about their needs and treatments. As a Health Care Assistant, you witness a lot of traumatic situations in the hospitals which can be very shocking to see so it’s crucial that you as an assistant are capable to work without allowing any stress to cause personal harm towards yourself during your working hours. You will be working with a range of different patients who are going through deep pain and suffering, this means that as an assistant you should provide comfort and compassion towards them and encourage them that they will be okay whether the conditions is severed or not.
