Recommended: Short assay about the Hospitality industry

When my application to work at Walt Disney World was selected two years ago, I never thought it would be life-changing. During my first year of Master’s degree, I had the opportunity to come to Orlando during summer and volunteer in a non-profit called Nathaniel’s hope, which offers support to special needs kids and their families. This experience made me realize that I took pleasure in interacting with people and was willing to pursue a career in communications. Back in France, I worked for a while as a PR/communications officer for an advertising agency. Even though I enjoyed my job a lot, there was something missing. I found the answer when I came back to Florida to work at Disney. Tourism and hospitality are what I am really passionate about. I still want to work in communications, but in the hospitality industry. That is the reason why I am currently taking classes at Valencia to complete a A.S. to B.S. degree program in Hospitality and Tourism Management. I want to gain all the knowledge required to be successful in my professional career. As a hard-working and goal-oriented person, I am also willing to complete my degree with the highest GPA score possible. About a week ago, I have been told by an adviser that as an international student, if I was not able to pay for spring tuition and fees, I would lose my Visa! Money is a huge obstacle, because right now I do not have enough to pay for the next two terms. When I applied I had enough savings to cover for an entire year, and I thought I would find a job on campus quite easily and be able to start an internship by January 2017.
