For the longest time I have known what I wanted to do with my life. Medicine has always been interesting to me, but what really influenced my decision to become a Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist as a career goal, is the idea of helping others. I work exceptionally hard during college to reach my goals. It has clearly payed off by the fact that I was just recently accepted into nursing school, which is my education goal. This is a huge accomplishment for me and an even bigger step towards graduating as a CRNA. Studying, doing my work, and continuing to work hard in school has always been my first priority. Knowing that someday soon I can have the most rewarding career, while doing what I love, is motivation for me to keep going. Nothing can get in the way of having my dream …show more content…
Every aspect of being a CRNA stood out to me. I enjoy the challenge of this career choice, but I also enjoy getting the opportunity to work and help others. Throughout high school and college thus far I have maintained a high grade point average and went through rigorous curriculum to bring me to the position I am in today. My classes have been challenging and thought provoking which appeals to me, because I am always up for a challenge. I understand that the future holds even more challenging curriculum and I am prepared to take on every challenge that is put in front of me. My experience in working with others regarding health as greatly prepared me for the future. I have gained an immense amount of experience being involved with others and working with them. I am very familiar and comfortable in a clinical setting, which I know will help me a lot in the future. I am dedicated, hardworking, and easy to get along with. All skills of which I know will benefit me in my career choice. I plan on gaining more experience throughout the years and continue to work with others the way I have in the
While doing my observations, at the outpatient and inpatient settings, I confirmed this is a career suited for my personality and abilities, where you get to teach patients how to recover and start from the beginning, and
In my upcoming years at Michigan State University I have intentions on applying to the Nursing school, completing nursing school and in the end continuing my academic career by becoming a CRNA- Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist. The reasons I crave to pursue this career are ample: opportunities to aid others on a daily basis, work on a team with other medical professionals and be able to alter people's lives in a positive way consistently.
After going through a lot of trial and error in my career, I have decided that I want to pursue being a Registered Nurse. Many things have led me to this career choice, including personal and financial gain. I have tried many other occupations and educational programs and none of them have fulfilled me like I believe nursing will. It has taken me a long time to get to this point and I often joke that I finally know what I want to be when I grow up. I will tell you about my journey and what I hope to gain in my future.
I had known for years that I wanted to work in the health care field, but I always believed it would be as a doctor. I watched for the first few years of my brother’s life as he struggled with different health challenges such as being born premature, having croup and breathing difficulty, and speech impairment. Watching my brother struggle and then being able to overcome these difficulties, as well as seeing other children around him who were not as fortunate, really pushed me even at a young age to make a difference. My family, both immediate and extended, were very supportive, and I felt a real positive push towards working hard to achieve that goal of working in health care. In high school, I was fortunate enough to do a cooperative placement at the Peterborough Regional Health Center’s Intensive Care Unit. Through observing rounds and being in the medical setting, I truly knew this is where I wanted to
I am currently planning to attend Richland Community college and graduate as a registered nurse. The reason I chose this career is because helping out others has always driven me forward. I want to study something that I know I will be content doing for the rest of my life and registered nursing is the right choice. Being a nurse has a many perquisites, but my choice has nothing to do with the advantages that it will provide me with. It is more about the fact that I have the chance to make people who are ill feel better and also to hel...
The summer of my junior year of highschool I became a Certified Nurses Assistant. It was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. The process wasn't easy, but the rewards are great. Becoming a Certified Nursing Assistant has helped me support my daughter and allowed me to help other people when they need it. It was my first experience with having a real job in my chosen career the healthcare field.
Being a crna requires a lot of training and skills. A general work week for crna’s is about 40 hours a week with 100$ an hour. On average a week they bring home about $3,800- $4,200. Being a crna requires a special set of skills such as being able to pay attention to close detail, dedication, patience, and emotional stability. Some duties on the job include creating a plan for the patients surgery and paying close attention to vitals during the surgery. Crna’s are generally the first to know if something is going to go wrong in the
Three years ago, I volunteer at the Florida hospital. It was a amazing experience to see how everyone was working together to save lives. Ever since then I wanted to become a registered nurse because of my compassion, and I want to care for people. I like giving advice and emotional support to others. Nursing is my passion in life.
... tutoring, advising, and volunteer opportunities, I have developed a strong sense of leadership, confidence, and responsibility. A career in medicine will not only strengthen such attributes, but provide me with an ongoing opportunity to learn, not just from books, but also from patients; and to educate and serve those individuals as well. Though my journey began under dismal circumstances, I believe those experiences will specifically enable me to better understand quality of life issues in the under-served populations of my geographic region.
As previously mentioned, becoming a nurse has always been a goal of mine. Throughout high school, I got the opportunity to narrow down exactly what I wanted to do in the medical field by taking nursing classes and participating in clinical rotations. I received my CNA license at the end of the course and through learning many beneficial life skills and nursing techniques, I realized during that time I wanted to go beyond CNA work, and that the nursing field was where God was leading me. Everyone defines success differently. To some people, success could be the simplest task being completed, or a major life goal being achieved. To me however, success is when I reach the goal I or others have set before me. Anything that involves my future career or potential in the medical field drives me to meet nothing but
I will look forward to becoming a healthcare administrator, and being part of a larger community. As healthcare educators, we are offered a chance to improve the quality of many peoples ' lives including family and friends. We are the faces of the community, with the common goal of building a healthy community. I want to be able to say I made a difference in someone’s life rather big or small. Being a healthcare administrator will be a lifelong career that I look forward to doing in the future.
From a young age, I was drawn to the healthcare field, not because of the amount of money doctors, nurses and other health professionals made, but because of the dedication and contentment I saw on their faces helping someone in need. Growing up everyone wanted to become a doctor or a nurse and as a little child being a doctor or a nurse was a profession many parents wanted their child to pursue as a career. Needless to say, I fell into that category because I wanted too. However, that dream came to a halt.
The education I hope to receive will carve and mold me into the person I hope to become. Schooling has usually been a priority to me. For some time, schooling needed put off. I needed to make some personal changes. Growing and putting myself first has made me realize the error in that choice.
One of the best decision ever I made in my life was to pursue my education in nursing. It was like I was destined to study nursing and utilize the knowledge I gained to help others. It is the broader scope of nursing that gives me constant intellectual stimulation and never ending challenges. I was amazed on how the reward wining the outcomes can be, which is a strong bonding with the patient. I truly believe that one can do anything as long as they have passion for their work and I am very passionate to make my patients feel better in regards to their health.
I have always wanted to become a nurse since I was a little girl, seeing both of my grandmothers working in a hospitals and always helping everyone in need. My goals in becoming a nurse is just the basic foundation of just helping people who physically cannot help themselves. I want to be able to shed light in people's lives who are losing it because of their situation. I feel as nurses is the backbone in the hospital. The nurses are there day in and day out with the patients, holding their hands and walking them and their families throughout such a difficult time. Nurses are also their supporting the doctors and all other staff. I’ve found especially in these past few years that I want to spend my life helping others and that's what I can
