I am a person that should be accepted to your college because I would be a great choice for your college. I get good grades in work that I have turned in and tried with effort. I am a person that never gives up and works hard until I feel satisfied with my work and know that I am going to get a good grade. I am a responsible person for all my work and put effort to the things I like doing. I’m a nice person and treat everyone with respect. If I got accepted into your college it would be one of my goals that I have accomplished and study the career I have been wanting to be for years which is being a criminologist. I will always be grateful that I was accepted to your college and I will represent my school and succeed in life and be what I’ve been wanting to be. When it comes to my education study is my first priority. I leave everything and I first do what has to be done and then go …show more content…
out and spend time with some family members or friends but my school is one of the most important things to me. I am a respectful understanding person and treat others like I want to be treated.
I've seen people having their own problems and giving attitude to others when it was not there fault. Even though I understand that when you are going through a problem you can not help your attitude because you have frustration, worried, or anger or many other feelings. I realized I should not treat others with attitude when I have my own problems because they have nothing to do with it and it's not their fault for my problems. Once my friend had her problems and she was upset and was not acting herself and giving others attitude and I thought to myself I do not like getting treated like this so others do not like when I treat them like that. I have changed and treat everyone with respect even if i have my own problems. The main thing is respecting others but most important is respecting yourself believe that you are good and a worthy person. Know what your worth and value yourself as a person like the mistake you make learn from them and do not compare yourself to others you are who you
are. The biggest challenge I have faced is when my father pasted the way. This has been a really big challenge because I used to not accept the fact my dad past the way and I would never see him again. I would always think he will come back some day. Years have past by im older and I know he will never come back but he is in a better place watching over me and my family. This is an important thing to me because I lost one person I was so close to going on trips going everywhere with him. I remember getting out of school and going directly to my house to see my dad on the couch watching tv and now my life has changed so much going home knowing no one is there. It changed with my family there was a moment that I did not want to talk to anyone kept things to myself started being a whole different person someone that I used to not be. Thankfully five years ago I changed I went counseling and helped me so much now I am a whole different person and I am happy for the person I am now.
To start, I believe that I should be accepted because I love helping out in my school, but I would love to help out even more. I’d be very happy if I got in because to me that would give me
My goal since my toddler years has been to be a hero. Today, I cannot envision myself doing anything else. My long-term goal since the beginning of high school has been to contribute to the biomedical sciences, whether it is as a researcher, a surgeon, or a clinical physician. I aspire to make change, even the smallest improvement in anyone’s life.
My purpose and goals in attending college is to make something of my life. It is a good thing. No one wants to be a nobody. But sometimes it takes time in order for one to realize this. & nbsp; Upon graduation from high school, I, like the majority of others high school graduates, had no clue what direction my life was heading or even what I wanted to become.
"Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass, it's about learning to dance in the rain." This is my all-time favorite quote. It is my motivation when the skies around me become cloudy. It is the fuel that feeds my ever-growing hunger to dance. Living by this motto will help me achieve my goal of becoming not just a professional dancer, but also an inspiration to others. My strong extracurricular background provides for a solid base, serving as a great steppingstone as I reach closer and closer to making my dream a reality.
I want to go to college for the wholesome intellectual stimulation and to get more involved with my community. College will be my last opportunity to do so before I enter the work force. At college I can be intellectually and academically challenged; I will be able to learn with friends who are as dedicated to learning and the pursuit of knowledge as I am. My goals in college are to acquire the skills that I need to lead a successful and productive life, to expand my knowledge of the world, to step out of my comfort zone, and to become more proactive.
When person at work or someone I come in contact with decides to give me an attitude or talk to me in a rude manner I try to think to myself “maybe they are just having a bad day” but most often I just get upset and take it to heart; even when I know I shouldn’t. I also express my feelings very easily, I can be open to anyone about how I am feeling and in a way I think that could also be a good thing. I will continue to better myself in this way, to not get so upset over things that are not directed toward me and things I am not at fault for and I think that will help me become a better
What makes me like most others seeking acceptance into your program is a strong desire to help others, excellent grades and evidence of my interest through experience. What separates me from other applicants is my independence, self-confidence and my sense of adventure, all qualities I have developed through my experiences as a Division 1 collegiate athlete. Volleyball has taught me how to simultaneously be a leader and a teammate. It has taught me how to achieve, with grace, both success and defeat. It forced me to understand the difficult journey of recovery from injury. And, on a more mental level, being a member of a college athletic team challenged my ability to manage my time and work with professors to accommodate missed material. As a freshman, going to college out of state was an act of faith and courage, but one that I do not regret. All of these experiences have given me confidence that I can act and think independently...
Why am I going to PCC? That’s because I want to get degree to get a job. However, I am not sure what I want to be in the future. Am I wasting my time in college? Hopefully not. I still have a couple terms to consider what I want to do. I feel lucky to be in the college in the U.S. If I were in japan and going to Japanese college, I would have had to decide the major before I go to college and take an entering exam which is really hard. On the other hand, college in the U.S. let students enter without deciding the major, and students still have time to think about the future with taking classes. It is interesting how different system we have in each country, yet I also have a demerit to attend college in not my country. That is extremely expensive
“A good education is a foundation for a better future.” ~ Elizabeth Warren. The reasoning behind why I want to go to college is to better my future. I am considered one of the first generation in my family to go to college, putting a lot of meaning behind why I believe I should go on to a different path. From a very young age I have always held high expectations of myself, even of the numerous changes in careers I had obtained an interest in. I have always envisioned myself going to college because I certainly value education. I believe that the more education I receive, the more valuable I am to this generation of the work force. Not only does my passion of learning hold place in the reasoning behind why I want to go to college, but because of my role models growing up. My parents both encourage me on a daily basis to go to college, and have encouraged my initiative to seek more in life. My father once explained that he once had this opportunity to receive a free ride to college but decided to stay home and start a family. He of course never looked back or regretted his decision because if not I wouldn 't be here today, but he encouraged me to take on these amazing offers and
Growing up my parents always taught me valuable lessons that have developed my character. Such as learning right from wrong, getting what you put in, humbleness, moral integrity, discipline and of course manners. All these have built and shaped my character into the person I am today. Learning right from wrong is very important to understand to be able to make right decisions. Making correct decisions isn’t just about what is best for you in the present but what is most beneficial for you based on your past, the present, the future and your surroundings; whether making small or big decisions this is crucial. Being humble and having integrity are two of the toughest characteristics to maintain. Providing a specific level of humbleness is important where you are still able to accept that you do not know everything. It is very easy to take credit, show off, and be close-minded. A prideful person expects rather than to appreciate certain things and takes everything for granted, causing them to be blind to their surroundings. I am always open to hear other peoples’ opinions and their point of views in certain situations and in everyday
Noted authors, Brandon Chambers, is quoted saying, “If you are going to fear anything fear success. Think about what you are doing and when you succeed what life you will have.” There are several different reasons why I could stay home, work and not go to college; I could go to work every day and make more money for the house, it’s easier, and I would be less stressed. Now, on the other hand there are many reasons why I should go to school; such as further my education, make my family proud, and make myself proud. I am attending college for several different reasons. One reason is to further my education. I hate feeling like I don’t know something, I like being the person everyone comes to for information. Also, because I want to be better prepared for my major, I want to be better then the next person with the job credentials. I want to major in Social Work and Criminology. I dream to be a counselor or an clinical service social worker. I want to help people who need someone there for them someone who can guide them or even just talk too. Another reason is because I would be the first in I would be the first in my family to go to college. I feel in some type of way I am setting an example for my parents and my brother that they too can go back to school. Lastly is simply because I love school. I love knowing more and more each day. College is not for everyone, but I will be successful by grasping the benefits, preparing for the problems, taking heed from experts, and working on strategies to be successful.
I have accomplished a lot in a short period; however, my journey is not complete until I continue my education. Essentially, this degree will help foster my growth and career success. My passion and dedication will speak for itself. My hard work and determination will prevail and I am a fit more than the next applicant because I have the passion, experience, critical thinking and analytical skills needed to complete this program through successfully arguing my capstone in front of a board or committee. My goals are definitely aligned with this program and I hope my next read is an acceptance letter from the admissions council.
College is a very important thing. If you go to college you will most likely get better pay in your career. Also, with a college degree, you have more opportunities. I believe that everyone should go to college. If you don’t go to college and just go into some job and that fails then you have no backup plan. A college graduate is more likely to be offered employment than another who didn’t attend college, if you have a college degree you will make more money in your lifetime than someone who doesn’t have a degree, if you are considering having children having a college degree is very beneficial to them, you have a higher chance of having better health yourself, college is very beneficial, and if you go to college you will have a better social
We should be more careful about that and we should have more patience. I always think that my parents will not leave me because they are my parents whether how can I treat them. That is a wrong thought. They are the people I should cherish them. I also thought that my friends should understand me if I did something bad or said something bad to them, I do not really hate them it just because I am angry. This thought also is a wrong thought. I should be more patient and treat them in a nice way because they are also the people that I should cherish them.
My first year in college has been a rewarding experience. As I look back on my Why College, Why Now essay, I realize that I have gained a tremendous amount of knowledge about myself. I am proud that I accomplished my goals I made in my first year of college and I exceeded my expectations. I still have the same goal for the future, but I added more goals for the future. I am attending Wilmington University because I want to make my future brighter. Attending college and earning a degree in communication media will help me obtain an exciting job as a professional journalist.
