Why God Inspires The Bible

Many can say that, there are a lot of reasons that one might be able to find in the Bible that explains further on the fact that the Bible is inspired by God. Although, these reasons are somewhat hidden to non-believers, but the three most important ones are as followed. The first reason that one can say the Bible is inspired by God is the fact that the word inspiration means "God-breathed". “Now we have received not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might understand the things freely given us by God” (1Corinthians 2:12, ESV). This verse is one of the three main reasons why God inspires the Bible. “All knowledge of God comes by way of revelation. The knowledge of God is revealed knowledge since it is God who gives it” (Akin, 4806). The word revelation means a lot to us believers in Christ, as being described in the book. The word revelation means uncovering, or removing of a veil. In a Christian’s perspective, when one decides to uncover the veil, then he or she can see what God wants him or her to see better, in a Biblical perspective. Furthermore, the last but not least reason as why the Bible is inspired by God is found in this verse. “ All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work” (2 Timothy 3:16-17, ESV). One objection ist that many believe that the Bible was writing by men, not by God. These verses above have explained why that statement is false, and there are people who do believe that God actually told the writers, what to write about.
