Workplaces should not allow people to bring their dogs to work because the dogs will distract you in every way possible. Dogs will bark at eachother in chaos, pee everywhere to claim territory, and expect to be taken out. However it is fair to say that bringing your dog to work may relax you in many ways, it may also be the reason you stay loyal to your work. I do not think any company in their right mind should be in favor of bringing Dogs to work just to secure a long term relationship with an employee. When a person goes to work it is for work and nothing else, when a person goes home after work it is their opportunity to be extra caring and loving towards a pet or child, but when you mix the two and let's say bring your dog to work, not only are you constantly telling he or she to stay but the dog …show more content…
You make think your dog gets along with everything it comes in contact with until it eats your co-workers open lunch bag. Dogs require attention, dogs themselves usually demand attention but what happens when your boss asks you to pay attention to your work in the middle of providing your dog with attention, which would you choose? Without a job nobody can take care of themselves let alone a dog. I get it though, people need their dogs around to keep them relax mentally however I just believe you're giving the dog anxiety.
Personally I dont understand how anybody can be so selfish to the extent of bringing a dog to work. Dogs have things to do while you're out working, it may seem like they've been waiting for you all day but that's a myth or maybe your own insecurities. Why would you want to take that feeling away from yourself? That feeling of coming home after a hard stressful day at work and not knowing what to do until you open that door and see your dog wagging it's tail, happier than a clown. Moments like those reassure to me that everything will be
Have you ever had the pleasure of sitting beside an animal on the Skytrain on your commute to work or stood in line beside one at the grocery store? Like humans, dogs need exercise. It is wise to take house-dogs on walks throughout the day. It helps them burn off energy and work their muscles. Dogs are also very social and need interaction with other pets and their humans. Once or twice a week the owners should take their dog to a puppy playground or dog park; this gives them the opportunity to become socialized. Denying these basic elements of a dog's life is one of the worst forms of animal abuse. This is the practice of puppy mills across the country.
Dogs are being taken for granted, and people need to realize the importance of why they have dogs as pets. Dogs are more than lazy animals, dumb creatures, or ways of showing off to others. Dogs don’t help with social status, rather they help with companionship, loyalty, trust, and a bodyguard. In my opinion, dogs don’t help determine how poor or wealthy a family is. Maybe people spend lots or little money on a dog, but that just depends on what type of people they are, not what type the dog is. Nothing more, nothing less.
I think pets should not even be allowed to even be in a workplace due to the fact that some people are actually terrified of dogs and bring them into a workplace can cause a lot of problems. The only reason I feel this way is because of the fact that animals can be huge a distraction to the workers and customers, they will require a lot of attention like stopping to feed them, give them water, taking them to use the bathroom. Plus, not all dogs are good dogs, you have the nice dogs and the mean dogs, how can a person do their job if you see dogs running back and forth, barking, ETC. Another reason can be that some people suffer from allergies. You really can’t bring one if you work in a fast food restaurant. I fully understand if a person that has a physical disability.
There is probably nothing more for pet lovers than taking their quadruped to work with them. The latest researches have proven that taking pets to workplace has resulted in lot happier and less stressed environment in the job. Scientists found that people who take their dogs to work reported lower stress throughout the day than employees without dogs or those who had dogs but didn’t take them to work (International Journal of Workplace Health Management). Many previous studies have linked the presence of pets with less stress and better health. For example, in hospitals and nursing homes, animals have contributed to faster recovery from surgery, controlling blood pressure and depression levels of patients.
Do you ever wish that could bring your dog into a store with you? Well, people with service dogs wish they could too. A person with a service dog is defined as a person who needs assistance because of their disability. A disability can range from blindness, to psychiatric disorders, and chronic pain. Service dogs have been refused entry into public businesses and restaurants, because they are dogs. Businesses owners refuse service dogs, since they believe they are disruptive messy. We are supposed to be an accepting, friendly society, yet we won’t even let people with service dogs into public businesses.
Police officers work with special units that make use of their dogs’ skills. Thornton says, “They work fire scenes; public transportation venues, such as subway stations, train stations, or airports; and large public events that may be the subject of bomb threats. They may also check vehicles or buildings for drugs or other contraband,” (Chapter 28). The Central Intelligence Agency; the U.S Postal Service; the Secret Service; the Drug Enforcement Administration and many more use dogs in their teams. Some of the most known areas the dogs are in are tracking, substance detection, police enforcement and cadaver. Other type of areas for dogs are arson or they are also known as accelerant-detection K9’s.These dogs are trained to sniff out traces of accelerants or other substances used to set fires. Their job is to investigate fire scenes and to determine a fire’s cause. More than 200 arson dog teams are at work in the United States and even in Canada. The handlers have to trust their dogs like any team does with a human partner. Once the dog alerts that something is there, the handler has to investigate further. The trainers need to establish a bond with the dog that will also become their family. At school’s for handlers and dogs to learn arson detections, they have simulated fire scenes, they learn how to locate and identify tiny drops of accelerants and the fuels used to start fires. Those schools also have challenges the handlers and their dogs face like wet grass, wet buildings, mud, ashes and burnt debris. Dogs aren’t the only ones who have to learn things. “Their handlers must also learn to identify hazards, such as dangerous debris or weakened areas that could endanger their dogs or themselves,” says ...
Having a dog can be a great experience for people who enjoy their company. These animals are usually friendly and active; they are intelligent and can develop a strong relationship with their owners based on love and care. However, having dogs is a big responsibility for the person who owns them, because they are animals, so they cannot support themselves. Dogs need someone who can feed them, give them love, and someone who can help them exercise. Moreover, these animals need big spaces in order to run and develop their muscles, so the owner has to know that he needs to take a walk with the dog several times a day.
Some human beings take their work serious as well. Most of the time an aggressive dog will make your job harder.
Kevin Mello Mrs. Carey Language Arts Period 4 29 April 2024 Pit Argument Essay A dog is a man's best friend, and they always put a smile on anyone’s face. This was the same thing for pitbulls as they were a respected breed, until myths spread that ruined their reputation. Pitbulls have been restricted or banned in many cities, states, and countries. Pitbulls should be pets because of dishonest bias, and these dogs are trainable.
Training your dog is the most important part of canine companionship. A happy dog is one who has structure and boundaries. Dogs are pack animals, and as such, they need guidance in the behavior that you expect from them. If you don't follow through in this leadership role, then the dog will naturally feel as if it is his place to do so. A dog that understands that you are the leader will naturally be easier to train.
Dogs are very common in the world we know today. Many households have one or more. Dogs are trained to be pets. Not only trained to be pets, dogs are also trained for work. Dogs are getting used more and more in our work environment. House dogs can also be considered a working dog depending on why the dog is there. There are many jobs for dogs. Dogs make a big impact on our working and social lives.
Dogs are not pets to most of us, more so, they are family. But, just like family, they should be kept separate from the work environment. Some people may think bringing your dog to work would be a job perk, but it brings more problems than relief. There would have to be more maintenance needed in the work facilities, other employees or customers may feel unsafe, and employees would have to watch their dog while on the job.

Having a dog as a pet help the owner stay connected with the social life.
