Well that is exactly what many of us are doing to people with mental illness or psychological disorders. These people already have many issues to deal with for us to be putting even more on top of that. For example they have to deal with never having good paying job. The negative views that many have on people with mental illness or psychological disorder really need to change. So today I will be informing you on why there is a stigma, what we can do as a community to change this and what the best way to change all this negative views. There is a stigma against people that have a mental illness or psychological disorder because of all the negative information society has put out there. Many people believe that people with a mental illness are dangerous and therefore should be feared and kept out of the community. Another negative view that society has is that mental illness people are irresponsible so any decisions should be made by others. Also that they are childlike and need to be cared for at all times. First of all we can start with stopping the media from reporting inaccurate information on mental illness patients. People can also stop believing everything that someone puts on there. We can protest to stop the negative view. Another way we can change the stigma on mental illness people is by educating the public. Informing the public about mental illness and proving to them that every negative thing ever said on mental illness people is not true can make a big change. One other way to stoop the stigma is by having the public interact with a mental illness person so that they can see they are just like everyone
