Are People Taking April Fools Pranks Too Far? Do you and your friends celebrate April Fools Day? Well if you do then you might know how it feels to be pranked to harshly. If u feel this way then we must come together and try to stop this rude behavior that most people consider as a "joke". Sometimes people get carried away with April Fools whether it be to entertain others, get attention for their pranks, or to just make themselves feel better about themselves, they can really hurt people's feelings. First of all, one of the main reasons people act harsh to others during April Fools may be to entertain their friends or the people around them. The person that may be planking you can feel as if they don't have enough attention, and so they may act vulgar towards people. As a matter of fact I have been in a situation similar to this one! It was April Fools afternoon when I had been more embarrassed than I had ever been, I went to my last class of …show more content…
If this is the reason, the person might feel lonely or might not get any attention at home or in general. Some of the pranks go way too far and here is one that got way out of hand. According to Inside Addition, On April 1, 2015, students at an apartment complex near Grand Valley State University in Allendale, Michigan, were victims of a horrifying end to a thought to be "funny" prank. According to the captain of the Allendale Fire Department, some female college students were joking around and tossed a lit firecracker at another roommate. The firecracker landed on a hamper full of clothes, sparking a fire inside the apartment. Luckily the building was evacuated and no one was hurt, no charges were brought in the incident. This is one reason why these pranks need to be limited and stopped. These pranks are not only to entertain others or even to get attention, but is also used to make a person feel better about
Girls and women ran to the doors and to the elevator. The elevator operator saved as many as he could, but he had to stop running the elevator because the fire had spread too far to keep operating it safely. Sisters, mothers, and daughters were separated. For some, the last thing they saw of their family member was either them going down the elevator, or trapped in the building. The workers became truly desperate. Some threw themselves down the elevator shaft after the elevator stopped coming. Others rushed to the fire escape, but it collapsed under all the weight. The firemen were not able to catch any of the girls that jumped through the window because the nets broke, the ladder on the tuck only reached to the sixth floor, and the water from the fire hose only reached the seventh floor. The firefighters sprayed the building as high as they could in hopes that the mist would cool the fire and start to put it out. The women soon realized that escape was hopeless. Knowing that they were going to burn to death, some turned to the window and jumped. None of the girls that jumped survived the fall. Within twenty minutes of the fire breaking out, there were bodies lying on the street and people surrounding the building. The total number of victims of the fire was 146. Nineteen bodies were recovered from the elevator shaft, and fifty-four workers died by jumping out of windows. 12 The two founders, Harris and Blanck, made it out of the burning building alive, but some of their family members worked in the upper floors of the factory and were killed by the fire.
by armed SWAT team members who fired a CS tear gas canister into their house.
The foam used to pad the walls to help absorb the sound was made of highly flammable material. It is believed that this was a major contributing factor in why the fire spread at such an accelerated rate. The alarms did not go off until after 30 seconds after the fire had already started. A National Institute of Standards and Technology investigation of the fire, using computer simulations with Fire Dynamics Simulator and a mock-up of the stage area and dance floor, found that a fire sprinkler suppression system would have contained the fire for enough time to give everyone a chance to get to the exit safely. However, because of the building's age (it was 57 years old) and size (4,484 square feet), many believed the nightclub was exempt from sprinkler system requirements. This was a practice that was referred to as being grandfathered in. The building had an occupancy change after it was converted from a restaurant to a nightclub. This change removed its exemption from the law, a fact that West Warwick fire inspectors seemingly overlooked. The night of the fire, the Station was actually legally required to have a sprinkler system but it in fact did not. This led to a movement for a national Fire Sprinkler Incentive Act but unfortunately those efforts have so far

The New york Times “Men and Girls die in the Waist Factory Fire; Trapped High Up in Washington Place Building; Street Strewn with Bodies; Piles of Dead Inside." describes the way this workers got killed: “Most of the victims were suffocated or burned to death within the building, but some who fought their way to the windows and leaped met death as surely, but perhaps more quickly, on the pavements below.” Unfortunately none of the employees who decided to jump to the floor survive.

When attempting to understand the nature of Cicero and his writings on human obligation, one must first grasp Cicero’s meaning of the virtuous life. For only in grasping Cicero’s denotation of individual virtue, may one comprehend the foundation upon which vitreous society rests in Cicero’s own terms. Insofar as this is true, this paper will seek to demonstrate that Cicero, as reflected in the second book of his De Officiis, sought to promote individual virtue as a necessary foundation upon which virtuous society may exist. Before proceeding however, a bit of historical context is necessary.
The teacher then called the principle which resulted in the police being called. When the police got there he asked student to get up and when he didn’t get what he wanted he flipped her out the chair and dragged her across the room. Even though bad behavior is not excepted in schools there could have been different ways the situation could have been handled other than aggressive force.
He got up in the middle of the night trying to attack everybody. Then, he pulled his pants down in front of these kids. Nobody could control him, nobody wanted him to go to jail. So his auntie got fed up! She called 911 and needed an ambulance as soon as possible.
A female student tripped as she was going up the stairs to Spot Coffee, but did not fall. What appears to be a group of guys who are not popular (guys who are not very well known), were seating where popular students normally sat. The group of guys started laughing at the girl and stopped. One guy kept laughing, but it was obvious he was forcing the laughter to purposely attract attention. He started making jokes about the girl and carrying on the laughter so he would appear funny.

You can find wide varieties of these crude pieces on the internet, and it is not uncommon to hear them in the hallways of schools, or whispered among students and followed by unjustified giggles. Attempting to lighten the seriousness of things such as sexual assault or terrorism is not comedy, no matter what people may say. Comedy is about laughing with the people being mocked, not lessening the seriousness of their situations. When we try to make ‘jokes’, we must keep one thing in mind: comedy is about laughter and joy. A joke is only funny when it is not blinding us to the reality of cruel
Humor can be used like a sniper's gun, picking people off when they least expect it. When we use humor to hurt, we abuse the fundamental essence of this wonderful gift. We must teach our children the difference between what is funny and what is cruel. A joke is never humorous if it is at the expense of another.
