As Logan said “a sinister code of childhood that demands there must always be someone to pick on” Whether it is elementary school or high school, kids are always being labeled, they may be known as the cool kids, jocks, nerds, geeks, and more. Being a cool kid is the most wanted label. To achieve that label, kids do outlandish things; one of the most popular ways to achieve this label is by picking and bullying. By doing this, they set the labels; they torment others in verbal or physical ways. It can be name-calling, mocking, insulting, hitting, shoving, and even threatening. Because parents are so focused on their work, they sometimes forget to spend time with their kids. This can lead to so many problems for the parent and the kid. Without having disciple, rules, and regulations set by the parents, kids think they have the freedom to do anything. For a while, they love and enjoy their freedom to its max, but after a certain time this freedom gets boring, so they start looking for ways to entertain themselves and a popular way for kids to entertain themselves is by picking on kids or seeing them being picked on. Kids enjoy victimizing the other kids by mocking, teasing, and more. Parents do not realize it until someone notifies them. Parents need to understand that school is not the only place a kid should be getting educated; they need to be educated at home too. However, one must understand that this is a dangerous, thing that is told or done to the victim can hurt them all life

Have you ever been bullied in school? Have you ever known a person who was bullied before in his life? Do you know that people who are bullied in school can grow up to have depression or social problems? Bullying was and still is one of the biggest problems schools have from a long time ago. To bully is to make fun of, tease or harass someone who is vulnerable or just younger. As a matter of fact, the victims of bullying and the bullies are turned up to have some serious issues when they become adults. In an article published by Ron Banks in 2013, “Educational Resource Information Center”, he explained how bullied victims and bullies are unknown by the authority members in schools. The first, and most well recognized, is physicalbullying. It involves any kind of physical contact between the bully and the
Many kids are being bullied in schools all around our nation. This behavior has been repeated for too long. Kids bully others, they are being bullied, or they witness the bullying. The internet came along and the bullies had a new platform where they could spread rumors, post mean messages or embarrassing pictures. Now kids really could not escape their intimidators. It used to be said that getting picked on was a way to develop character. Sadly, we only realized bulling was an issue that had to be dealt with when students began to kill themselves due to the torment they were enduring on a daily
We live in a society where we judge everyone no matter what, if we see someone different from us, we make fun of them, it could be either the way they dress, or the way they act, their color, their race, just anything. Parental awareness programs are a huge measure of reducing bullying in schools. When it comes to addressing children’s behaviors according to Hellwig (n.d.) stated that “keeping parents informed about their child’s grades, friends, behavior, and even attitudes in school is an important tool when addressing behaviors” (para. 22). When a parent notices a difference in their child’s behavior it can turn into a red flag for bullying. Parents can then take action by asking questions and talking with the school about unordinary change in their child’s behaviors. Compelling parents to be aware of the kinds of bullying going on in the school systems can permit schools to work with students with their parents’ permission and support. With parents embracing anti-bullying measures the school can now increase those teachings into the class room.
I completely believe schools should be the one intervening in the problem not the parents. Parents aren’t with their children during school hours so for they aren’t responsible if there child is getting bullied because from personal experience I would know the parents wo...
Bullying within an elementary school begins right from the very first day of school. By the end of Kindergarten, over 20% of students report being bullied within that year. By the end of elementary school, 9 out of 10 students report being bullied at one time or another. The students, who bully during elementary school, are more likely to have it carry on with them for their middle school and school years. The aggressive and violent behaviors towards students in elementary school not only carry on after graduation from high school, but they end up having criminal records.
Its bullying and there have been many cases in the society especially in the united states schooling scene such as “Bullying affects nearly one in three American schoolchildren in grades six through 10”(Engel, 2013). These signs of behavior come from a child that has been mistreated in the same way or observed someone else doing such thing to someone else. “Six out of 10 teenagers say they witness bullying in school once a day. ”(Engel, 2013). The sun was shining brightly, reflecting off of the hoods of cars and windows in the streets. Even though it was so bright the sun was about to set. Ever since the accident, it has been hard to find good food, most of the food is perishable. I haven’t smelt something good in forever, the only reason I still know I can smell is because I smell stuff that smells horrible. When it is dark , I’m still not sure what is out there, that is why I try to get home before the sun sets. It has been hard to cope with not being able to see and/or talk to anyone.
Have you ever been personally bullied by another person? Maybe you have not had your head forced into a locker, but verbally hurt? Bullying today can be quite serious. Bullying is when someone tries to hurt another person by hitting them or by simply hurting them with their words. Bullying is something that can have a huge impact on its victims. "Bullying will make kids tougher", or "It 's only teasing", I 've actually heard those words before. There are ones who have the opinion that bullying doesn’t cause someone to take their own lives. They would say "Oh there was something else wrong with that kid other than bullying ' '. People tend to blame it on ' 'mental illness ' '. In fact, there is no scientific evidence that says, bullying causes suicide. That’s why several people believe that bullying doesn’t affect you. People also assume, that if you get harassed there is an explanation behind it, whether it 's what you wear, your skin color, you are a heavy person, or you are an outsider.
