Have you ever heard of Dr. Seuss, best known for writing the most popular children's
book of all time? Dr. Seuss writes all different types of children books that would make
kids laugh and think about the books. All of his books have a meaning. For instance,
The Cat in The Hat, Sally and her Brother Conrad let a cat stay in their house while their
mother was out. This lead to their house getting destroyed and rules being broken. All
kids should read The Cat in the Hat because it teaches kids life lessons.
One reason why kids should read this book is because it teaches kids to follow
rules. If kids don’t follow rules things might happen to them or someone else. For
example, when the cat in the hat walked in he showed Sally and Conrad a trick. He …show more content…

In the story it states," then he fell on his head. He came down
with a bump from up there on the ball. And Sally and I, we saw all the things fall." This
would've never happened if Sally and Conrad followed their mother's direction. This is
also why all kids need to read cat in the hat because it teaches lesson that kids can use
in the future.
Another reason why kids should read The Cat in the Hat is because this book
teaches kids not to play with outside toys inside the house. If kids play with outside toys
inside the house they knock something over, bump something, or even break
something. For example, Thing 1 and Thing 2 were flying kites in the house and they
bumped into walls and on the head of Sally and Conrad mother's bed making a dent. In
the story it states," We saw those two thing bump their the kites on the wall! Then we
saw one kite bump on the head of her bed." If Thing 1 and Thing 2 didn't fly the kite in
the house they wouldn't have bumped into the wall and bed. If kids don't play with
outside toy inside, nothing would break or get bumped over. This is another reason why
kids should read The Cat in the Hat.
