Topic: HAVE YOU BEEN CHEATED? AIM: To call attention to the 3 BIG CHEATS that will keep many out from the Kingdom of God. INTRO. To be cheated on is not a good thing. No one would want to be cheated on or be called a cheater. We Christian may be in danger of being cheated on if we do not take the 3 big cheats seriously. It just might be the only thing that will hold you from receiving salvation and being part of the kingdom of God. In this sermon, with the help of the Holy Spirit I would like to call your attention to the 3 DEADLY CHEATS that will keep many out of the kingdom of god. BODY. 1. “No Danger” We find in Genesis 19: 14, the story of Lot and his family just before God destroyed Sodom and Gomorra. Lot had warned his sons in laws about what was going to happen to the city they were in but, they just ignored him and thought that he was joking. The story of the rich farmer in Luke: 12:16-18 is a good example of this deadly cheat. We are all familiar with how the story goes. Question is what was the farmers’ mistake? His mistake was he thought that there was plenty of time for him to work for his own good without God’s leadership, God was left for later because there’s “plenty of time”. There is always an increase in the number of road accidents every year because thousands of people get cheated out of their lives by thinking that there is plenty of time for them to cross the road before the next car or drivers thinking they can take pass before the next car gets there. Genesis: 19:26 explains how Lots wife was cheated out of her life into thinking she had plenty of time to just look back one last time at her home town. We do not have plenty of time to get right with the Lord. It just never pays to put the most important duty in life
