Every Human is called to do his vocation here on earth with the gifts and talents that God has given them. As Christians we are called to please God in every area of our lives. Colossians 3:17 says “And whatever you do, whether in word or deed, do it all in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” This means that everything we do we need to give our best to glorify our Father in heaven. Even though business is considered an “evil” job because all of the rivalry it brings to the different institutions, it can be used as instrumentally by God to help develop and complete His Kingdom here on earth. This book talks about how businessman can glorify God by doing their job even though people might think that you cannot glorify God in what they call “secular” jobs. I believe that the role of business as one of the most powerful institutions is to provide opportunities for essential and creative work to create wealth. The second most important idea I found is the role of humans as stewards of God´s creation. He tells us to use Business as a service to humanity. He calls us to be good business leaders to be able to produce goods and services, be able to manage them wisely, and help the community develop. This will provide work opportunities that will allow potential workers to express the gifts and talents that God had given to them. As Christians in business we need to look ...

The six main significant ideas are: God´s purpose for business is to serve Him instrumentally, the role of humans as stewards of God´s creation, the identity crisis, the work of Christians in business is to be enabled by the discernment and power of the Holy Spirit, the distortion relationship between institutions, and how can Christians share their faith with other non-Christian coworkers around them. A business exists to serve and therefore it cannot create rivalry or distortion among institutions. A business should work together in concert with other institutions and seek to support them as they generally attain the common good for the society.
