The Holocaust is one of the most atrocious tragedies that humanity has been involved in because of biased values on the supremacy of one race over another. It hides inhuman pain, torture, and suffering. The Holocaust was the state-sponsored persecution and mass murder of millions of European Jews and other specific minorities that the Germans believed should not be given a chance of existence. The Holocaust was carried out by the German regime between 1933 and 1945. Besides Adolf Hitler, German citizens who voted for Hitler and the Nazi Party to revitalize their morale and their economically depressed country and top SS officers that designed and executed “the final solution” for Hitler were the most responsible for the Holocaust. Moreover, it is clearly said that “the final solution” falls into the hands of these officers, it reveals that they were fully responsible for the occurrence of genocide, they played a significant role in executing and planning this horrid plan. Also, Holocaust Encyclopedia quotes “German SS and police leaders under Heinrich Himmler were some of the most notorious and powerful perpetrators of “the final solution,” they oversaw killing squads and centers.” Furthermore, the idea that “the final solution” is due to the German top SS officers can be strengthened and strongly supported, but it also goes further to claim that they were the most powerful and notorious perpetrators of the Holocaust. However, the evidence proves that the SS officers and German citizens are to blame for the Holocaust, German Citizens made the Nazi’s values and beliefs seem almost reasonable and therefore nobody questioned the morale of the Nazi party. Likewise, the German soldiers took part in the killings, but did not design the plan of murdering 6 million Jews. The death of 6 million Jews can be blamed on top German SS officers and not German soldiers. This avow can be backed up when Anne Frank claims “And so, the final solution to the Jewish question took the form of genocide. During the Wannsee conference on 20, January 1942, Nazi officials discussed the execution of the planned murder of the 11 million Jews living in Europe.” Off this piece of evidence readers can further understand that even though German soldiers partook in the killings and supported them. The Genocide would not have happened if the plan were not set up by the German SS officers. Continuously, German citizens are more responsible than German soldiers due to the role that the German citizens played in the negotiation with leaders and officials.
