“After Auschwitz, the human condition is not the same, nothing will be the same,”-Elie Wiesel. The Holocaust was one of the largest and most traumatizing genocides to take place in all world history. This took place in Germany, and it was an attempt to completely rid the country of Jewish people by killing them in mass sizes. This all started with a German dictator, Adolf Hitler, who thought the only race that belonged was the Aryan race (German people). So he created a group of soldiers called the Nazi party who executed his plan to wipe the country of Jews. Besides Adolf Hitler, the Nazi soldiers and the German Army who directly slaughtered millions of Jewish people, and SS officers who created and executed the “final solution” as an attempt …show more content…

In the article, the author explains, “The top SS Officer’s “final solution” was the deliberate and systematic mass murder of European Jews, and was the final stage of the Holocaust,” (“The Final Solution Overview”). In other words, the SS officers were making a game plan for Hitler to figure out the easiest and most efficient way to kill as many people as possible. So, as the brains behind the operation, a lot of the blame falls on the officers since it was their plan that was followed during the Holocaust. The article also states, “By 1941 the SS Officers and police introduced mobile gas vans. Nevertheless, many groups were responsible for the Holocaust, but given all the groups mentioned, the citizens are the least at fault because there was an extremely high chance that they would be killed or imprisoned if they revolted or even just try to help a Jewish person. The consequences got worse and worse very quickly, as a result, to stay safe, they would stay silent as if everyone were in their own little bubble and only paid attention to themselves because little to no Germans were willing to risk their own and their family's life for the cause. “The Nazis attempted to keep the murders a secret, and therefore, took precautionary measures to ensure that they would not be publicized,” (“36 Questions About the Holocaust”). This evidence proves the fact that the Nazis knew what they were doing was appalling, so they did everything they could to keep it private from the public. To stay secretive, the Nazi Party would create propaganda and spread fake rumors in an attempt to keep the truth from the public. “In implementation of the “final solution,” German authorities and their collaborator killed up to six million Jews- two-thirds of the Jews living in Europe in 1939- by poison, gas, shooting, and other means,”
