In the play of Romeo and Juliet Act 5, death is the most prominent theme. In this part of the play Romeo is determined to show solidarity to Juliet his beloved one. This is demonstrated by his act of purchasing the poison prior to arriving in Verona upon hearing the news about Juliet's alleged suicide. This part of the play demonstrates death is a heroic act of choice by individuals. According to the play rather than being separated from each other Rome and Juliet choose to die instead. It is not quite satisfying for one to conclude that the death of Romeo and Juliet was a tragedy of fate; however it is more conceiving for one to accept that the result of their death was as a result of individual decisions. The question of who is the most to blame for the death of Romeo and Juliet is so challenging for various reasons. According to the act several players were likely not be responsible for the death of both Romeo and Juliet. These players involved first and fore most their parents, who wanted so much to separate them, Friar John who was supposed to deliver the message to Romeo, Friar Laurence the master mind of the plan and Romeo himself. In the play Romeo is accused of acting too soon, if he had taken his time may be he would have saved the day.

However, does Romeos acts answer the question of who is to blame for their death, I believe no. The reason being that Romeo was in the dark he was not aware about the plan. May be their parents should be the ones to blame for their death, but could it be fair since they could not measure the power of their love, the power of their love was described by Romeo in this quote "Ah me!
