When you reach me was an amazing novel. In the end, everything connected. All in all, the book was fabulous and I highly recommend it. Miranda learns so much as a character. As a reader, I learned as well. In the novel, Miranda had interesting relationships with the characters. When you reach me is a marvelous novel and a must read for young
She didn’t wake up every morning, happy to go to the school and learn more things, instead she felt terrified wondering what was going to happen to her. Some days were not as bad like the others but there was some days that Melba could've really got hurt but she always found a way out without getting too injured. Kids just kept taunting her every moment of the day and the worst part was the teachers didn’t do anything about it. Even though they know she is a child too and that they should care that because she could get badly hurt and it would be the teacher's fault because they didn’t do anything about it or to stop
Margaret Peterson sets her cliffhanger mystery book, Haddix: The Missing Found, in a modest neighborhood in Ohio. This book is in first person point of view, being told by the main character, Jonah Skidmore. The tone is fearful because Jonah voices his fears to his friend, Chip, multiples times throughout the story and usually has a fearful attitude when trying to overcome obstacles. Haddix: The Missing Found, is about a group of famous children from history who were stolen by futuristic time travelers and sent back to the 21st century as babies. These babies were soon adopted by random families around the world, and had a normal life. However, when they got to be around 13 years old, they start to get threatening letters sent to them telling them that they are, “one of the missing” (Peterson 20). These kids proceed to venture on a journey to find the person who is sending these creepy letters, and go through many obstacle along the way. Overall, I thought that Haddix: The Missing Found was a great read because it was very mysterious and kept me guessing the whole time I was reading, and I found that the characters were really relatable.
I found the book to be easy, exciting reading because the story line was very realistic and easily relatable. This book flowed for me to a point when, at times, it was difficult to put down. Several scenes pleasantly caught me off guard and some were extremely hilarious, namely, the visit to Martha Oldcrow. I found myself really fond of the char...

Overall, I think it's an amazing book because it's written so well, and it just has such a good storyline. I would recommend this book too all teenagers who love fictional/romantic books because I think it's worth reading it, even if you don't like reading. Cassandra Clare does know how to play with the readers emotions! If you read this sequel you will find yourself craving more and more.
When she and her Ma got home, it was almost dark outside. Frances saw something suspicious, her brother(Mike), shouldn’t be out at this time. Once they got inside, Frances and her mother tucked in all the children and went to bed themselves. Frances was still wondering about Mike, “What was he doing?” She fell asleep falling wiry of her younger brother. When she up, they had breakfast, and headed to their jobs. Frances was still wondering what Mike had done. “Was he stealing? No, their Da(father) had taught them better than that before he fell ill and died. She had never seen her mother cry until then.
I heard quite a bit of conflicting thoughts about this one, some people didn’t like it, and some loved it. I think it’s one of those books that you just need to pick up and make the decision yourself. In saying all this, I truly did love The Girl from Everywhere and I am so excited to read more.
8/4/16- Miss Rojas thought Mr. Perez was taken too long to get the laundry ready for the laundromat. She yelled at her to hurry up. He did not say anything. Then she did not like the shoes he was putting on Aleena. She told him the sneaker did not go with her outfit and that he should put sandals on her. Mr. Perez argued for a few minutes, defending why he was putting sneakers on Aleena. After a few minutes of going back and forth, Mr. Perez put sandals on Aleena.
Five minutes later we were out the door. Cecile despised us now she kicked us out of her house with no money whatsoever. Now it was just Vonetta, Fern, and I who were three girls out on the dangerous streets with no money. The first thing I knew I should do is to comfort my sisters. It was my fault that I got us into this mess. Then Vonetta cut in and stopped my train of thought. Literally, she banged me on the head. That bang was the kind of bang was the one we gave each other if something bad happened because one of us did something that caused it. “Why didn’t you break up our fight like you always do Delphine?” asks Vonetta harshly. I had an answer but I knew they wouldn’t like it. “ Yeah!” Fern grunted angrily. At that moment because of ...
Overall I think this is a great book. I would recommend this book to others but you would have to read the first two books before this one. I would recommend this book because it has a great story line and there is never a dull moment.
This old man and woman had been together for quite a while. They had been through thick and then. After the crash, they had been admitted to the hospital at which Mel works at, and they were given a less than likely chance of pulling through. Despite the odds, both of them pulled through, but the old man became depressed (Carver 157). The old man confides in Mel, telling him that he was depressed "because he couldn 't see [his wife] through his eye-holes." Mel continues, " '[T]he man 's heart was breaking because he couldn 't turn his goddamn head and see his goddamn wife." (Carver 158). These two old geezers have true love. They cannot live without one another, for they have true
The time was now six in the afternoon, and the children had to start putting their Halloween costumes on to be ready for their party down the street. Lucy was dressed as a beautiful mermaid. Lanie was an adorable candy fairy, and last, but not least, Luke was dressed as a rowdy cowboy. Playing his cowboy role, Luke started lassoing his sisters with his rope. On their way to the party, I could see Mary and John’s patience level with Luke was about to explode. The parents were trying to pull Luke away from roping his sisters, but he resorted to attempting to rope the
