Luca Harrison 4 th hour Zerilli 22 March 2024 The children's crusade “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their characters.”(Martin Luther King JR) Did you know that a four year old got arrested during the children's march? This is one of the many things that happened.During the children's march the parents could not march because they would lose their jobs so the kids had to step in. The kids marched and most of them got arrested. This event changed their life forever. According to “The Children's Crusade: When the youth of Birmingham marched for justice”it states, “An agreement was made to desegregate lunch counters, businesses and restrooms and improve hiring opportunities for Black people in Birmingham” (Clark,4). This evidence shows an impact on society because this quote shows the black people got job opportunities. And they got jobs at lunch counters and restrooms.
