» Leadership « For one I am a strong leader, and never a dictator. When it comes to activities, I love being the captain. The "team captain" is something that many people cannot hold. I am willing to work my way up from the bottom to the top. I am never a dictator and when I am asked to change something I look at the outcomes and the effects on the people. » Discrimination « I do not judge anyone by their race or color. I do not punish someone differently because of a different race or color. I treat everyone the same way. In my opinion I look at everyone the same. I have many soical media pages that I can be contacted on (Twitter , Instagram , Discord , Snapchat , Teamspeak). I can be contacted at any point of the day. I am very friendly and I like to meet new people. » Confidence « Another strength of mine is Confidence. Confidence is something that a few people lack. Some people are scared going into big situations, not me, I am very intrigued to big situations. When I hit a big situation I want to conquer it, not let it conquer me. » Effort « When it comes to effort I always put 110% into things. When I am told to do something I do it then and there. I am the teenager who likes to take their time at doing things. When I am asked to do something I will give it my best shot. » Maturity « Maturity is one also one of my biggest strengths. I have had to deal with a ton of maturity growing up. Before I was a teenager I was always the kid that wanted attention. Seeking attention so much I was always getting in trouble. I always thought that I could pick the easy way out of situations. For the past 6 years my maturity has developed into something I never thought I could do. I gain my attention by doing the good. I am constantly completing accomplishments I could never had done without maturing. » Accomplishments / Goals
A well- rounded leader can be flexible in any situation given to him or her. I personally feel that I possess leadership characteristics well. I do not only possess leadership qualities for myself, but also to set an example for others. By doing this I might aid them in expressing their leadership qualities, no matter their field of interest. As I help others, they might see it in themselves to aid others in finding their leadership qualities.
I am also a role model to them by not giving up on my goals and teaching them about the importance of family and how you should spend quality time with the people you love. The third and last reason I exemplify the traits of leadership is because I lead by example in the community. I show good manners like please and thank you along with opening doors and helping other people. If I see someone that is struggling to carry something or if they drop an item and need help picking it up, I do not hesitate to step in and help the person in need. I have observed that a simple smile and a friendly gesture of hello can go a long way when being nice to someone to make their day better in anyway I know how to.
Prejudice comes from the Latin noun praejudicium, which means a judgment based on previous decisions formed before the facts were known. If a person allows their prejudiced beliefs to block the progress of another, it is discrimination. Those who exclude all members of a race from certain types of employment, housing, political rights, educational opportunities, or a social interactions are guilty of racial discrimination.
Discrimination refers to the act of making a distinction or segregation that undermines equality. Typically used referring to the violation of equal rights by race, nationality, politic, gender, or sexual orientation which is the subject I will be explaining in this essay.
“Discrimination is the denial of opportunities and equal rights to individuals and groups because of prejudice or for other arbitrary reasons” (Schaefer 35). Discrimination differs from prejudice as it refers to the behavior or action usually based on prejudice rather than just thoughts.
Racial discrimination is a concept that is usually identified with the racism and that covers it, although it deals with concepts that do not match exactly. While racism is an ideology based on the superiority of certain races or ethnic groups on other, racial discrimination is an act which, although it is usually based on a racist ideology, not always is. In this regard, it should be borne in mind that the racial discrimination positive (when establishing discrimination in order to ensure the equality of persons affected), constitutes a form of discrimination aimed at combating
Leaders, an individual that people look up to for direction, inspiration, and guidance in life. Passion, influential, reliability, a vision, etc. These traits along with many more, are the things that make leaders great and successful. Everyone has different personality traits that make us capable of being leaders in this world and I learned that throughout this course. Everyone is different, whether good or bad, ethical or unethical, everyone has a leadership style all their own. “If your actions inspire others to dream more, learn more, do more and become more, you are a leader (John Quincy Adams).”
I also took the DiSC Work of Leaders Profile to analyze my style. The results indicate I fall between Steadiness and Conscientiousness, leaning more towards Steadiness which gives me the style SC. The three leadership priorities closest to my style dot of SC reveal I am humble, inclusive and deliberate. This indicates I like a work environment of collaboration assisting others in achieving their goals. People see me as calm, reliable, dependable and sensible. ...
Discrimination is the practice of unfairly treating a person or group of people separately from other people or groups of people. This is an idea that John Wyndham deals with in his text The Chrysalids.Despite the fact that Canada has much development, unfortunately there is still a defined ideal and “normal” look to our society. If canada is waknuk anyone with a disability, different background or a different race are discriminated everyday and are considered a deviant of canada.
One of my greatest skills is being able to be compassionate towards others. By placing myself into someone else’s shoes, I find myself being able to better understand where other people are coming from. I am an extremely caring person that will go to great lengths for anyone. I can easily overlook the differences in other people, and this is what helps me get along with almost anyone that I come across. In order to lead people in a positive direction you need to be able to relate to them on a more personal level. It is much easier when people feel comfortable around their leader. I always like to lend a helping hand or even a shoulder to cry on when it is needed. My strengths include integrity, optimism, faith, innovation, and adaptability. These strengths are important to have in leadership positions. Leaders should have a firm hold on their beliefs and morals in order to have a positive impact on people. Keeping my commitments is crucial to me, because I am a woman of my word. I think this is a good trait in leadership, because people need to be able to count on the person that they look up to. Optimism is also something I value. I belie...
Introduction- Discrimination affects people all over the world. People of all ethnicities and from all different walks of life are influenced in some way by workplace discrimination. "Discrimination" means unequal treatment. One of the most common elements discriminated against is a persons ethnicity, or their race. This is called Racial Discrimination. While there are many federal laws concerning discrimination, most states have enacted laws that prohibit it. These laws may have different remedies than the federal laws and may, in certain circumstances be more favorable than the federal laws.
I would describe some of strengths as being able to define clear objectives when working in group settings whether it is in the working world or in academic settings and communicating clearly to the rest of the people in my group when I am in the lead or not. I communicate clearly to other people what I want to achieve out of working in a group, but also what I want them to achieve themselves. As a leader it is imperative that I allow other people in the group to learn and grow along with the rest of the group. I enjoy defining clear objectives when I am a leader and not a leader because it provides the rest of my peers an efficient way of working together. If the objectives are not clear and concise then the productivity of the group will
Discrimination is a feasible method of making decisions in life based on the group, class, or category to which a person belongs to. “In an ideal world, people would be equal in rights, opportunities, and responsibilities, despite their race or gender. In the world we live in, however, we constantly face all kinds of neglect based on different attributes.” When one hears the word discrimination, the first thought that comes to mind is racial discrimination. In fact, it does not solely have to be racial discrimination.
Throughout my life I have encountered the chance to experience position of being a leader. Being part of groups in university for class presentations, being the organizing secretary of my campus fellowship, being a youth leader in my church and the church admin, also being part of a family. Leaders are charismatic, inspirational and trust worthy. I have gained some important qualities of being a good leader through these experiences. Most of the valuable leadership’s characteristics that I obtained and strengthened are: learn to become a better leader every day, how to be a team player, to be a better listener, to be an effective communicator, to have more patience, not afraid of constructive criticism, to be outspoken, and to be a problem solver. Even though I have gained a lot, I still have more things to learn to become a better leader such as being more assertive, being more disciplined, becoming a better public speaker, and learn how to be realistic and not too optimistic. You are a leader if someone else choses to follow you.
Winston Churchill once said “The price of greatness is responsibility.” I personally find that very true! As a young lady in the south with age come responsibility even if you are ready for it or not! I had to learn that, the thing that my parents, teachers, and family are teaching me will carry me through life. And the being responsible, staying true to my word and keep a strong relationship with god are things that will help mold me into a better person later in life. Pushing towards greatness is something I feel every person, young and old.
