The True Colors Personality Test was created as an informative way to find the keys to success based on one of four metaphorical personality “colors”, orange, gold, blue and green. Most teenagers have an orange personality because of their spontaneous, carefree demeanor and curiosity. Amelia Earhart, the first female to fly a plane across the Atlantic Ocean solo, fits into the orange personality category. According to True Colors, after her first flight crashed, she emerged with a bruised lip, torn dress, and a “sense of exhilaration” and exclaimed, “Oh, it's just like flying.” Not only does this quote show her playful, humorous personality, but it shows that she’s welcome to new ideas since she had never flew before. He always upheld his appointed duties as a sense of honor. For example, when he was appointed Commander in Chief of the Continental Army in the Revolutionary War, he showed a sense of humility because he didn’t think he was capable for the task but would take it on with all of his strength. He also said very little in public meetings as he lacked the charisma of many other Founding Fathers, which could portray him as dull and boring, two traits that others may label gold personalities. Another famous person that has a gold personality is Queen Victoria. As a mother that dearly loved her children, Victoria showed a sense of security for her children, which gold personalities have been shown to have. Additionally, she had opinion about everything. Although she loved her children, she stated, “I don’t dislike babies, though I think very young ones rather disgusting.” This quote shows that Queen Victoria was judgemental, as well as opinion, which are two traits that people with gold personalities are viewed …show more content…
This also means that they’re sensitive to others’ needs, cooperative, and willing to work tirelessly for a cause, which describes Founding Father Thomas Jefferson to a tee. When none of the other Founding Fathers wanted to write the Declaration of Independence, they gave Jefferson the responsibility. Although he didn’t want to do it, he was sensitive to what the other congressmen wanted so he accepted. Additionally, he had three weeks to write it and it is assumed to have taken as little as one week to complete it, showing his will to work tirelessly to gain independence for his country. Lastly, although he was the main writer of the Declaration, Jefferson was still open to the other men’s opinions. Many of the ideas expressed were from the declaration committee, such as “We hold these truths to be self-evident,” which was Benjamin Franklin’s idea. Another famous icon that has a blue personality is Isabel Briggs Myers, creator of The Myers-Briggs Type Indicator personality test. Like Jefferson, Briggs Myers was willing to work tirelessly for a cause, spending over four decades on the Indicator until her death. In addition to her intelligence and curiosity, she was known for her generous spirit and her strong character. According to her perspective of human behavior, she desires self-respect, love, peace of mind, involvement, understanding, and freedom. In the love category, she
(Sun Tzu p. 65) These five crucial traits will become apparent and Washington's strategy to win the War of Independence is elaborated on further. Washington was the embodiment of everything fine in the American character. He had no delusions of grandeur and was second only to Benjamin Franklin as a diplomat with the French. In caring for his troops and their families, he would spend his own money to help them.... ...
"His mind was great and powerful, without being of the very first order; his penetration strong . . . Perhaps the strongest feature in his character was prudence, never acting until every circumstance, every consideration, was maturely weighed; refraining if he saw a doubt, but, when once decided, going through with his purpose, whatever obstacles opposed." (Thomas Jefferson, as cited in "George Washington," 2006, para.19) George Washington is one of the most recognized and famous leaders in all history of the United States of America. He contributed greatly to the establishment of this prosperous country, from leading the Revolutionary armies into battle, to running the country as the first president, Washington has set precedence and example for all who have and are yet to follow. He was a noble man who demonstrated characteristics one would expect from a hero figure. He was not power-hungry, but did things and played his role for the good of the country, for patriotic purposes, to help America become the success it is today. In March of 1783, the soldiers of the American military were restless, bored and in a terrible state of doubt and distrust concerning the newly formed congress of the country. When these soldiers joined the army, they were promised a certain amount of money according to their service, but by the war's end, congress was nearly broke and not in a position to pay them all they had earned. The soldiers planned a rebellion against congress for their unjust treatment, and attempted to hold an unauthorized meeting of the officers on the matter. Washington forbade the meeting, but called for one a few days later, in which he gave his speech concerning the Newburgh Conspiracy ("The Rise and Fall," 2006, para.2). General Washington was a highly respected man among his peers, soldiers, and fellow men. His opinions, approval, and presence alone were enough to validate many plans, documents, and meetings throughout his life, so it is no wonder that even simple words or acts performed by General Washington were respected, and more often than not, taken to heart by his audience; perhaps this is why it may seem surprising that one of the most important speeches he ever gave fell on relatively deaf ears, leaving the audience hesitant, confused, seemingly unaffected by his powerful use of diction, and emotional appeal.

Amelia Earhart and Louis Armstrong are one of the two most influential heros from the nineteen-twenties. In the nineteen-twenties, during the great depression, where basically all hope was lost about a basic daily life was gone, but these two individuals in specific, made hope come back and revive the people who suffered through the depression. This allowed everyone to see them as an “influential god” that lifted everyone’s spirits. As you can see, Earhart and Armstrong were two very great people who allowed the mind to think creatively through motivation to do the impossible.
George Washington had character and was extraordinary. Ellis described Washington as an "incalculable asset." His leadership skills were unique. His actions were performed for his country, not for political gain. He was also directly associated with every major event of the Revolutionary War, the Continental Congress, and the building of the new republic. Even the country 's new capitol had his name. These were some of the things that made him so special. Washington was not prideful and not easily led. He offered suggestions and warnings to his replacements and told the government to expand in a way that would keep the country standing; he was well aware of how dainty the country was. The United States would never have survived without him.
Declaration of Independence, was a member of the drafting committee, and argued eloquently for it.
George Washington showed amazing leadership skills while remaining aware that he is not greater then everyone else. When Washington was first brought the idea of presidency he declined not wanting to be viewed as a king or anything greater then the people around him. He didn't want to and didn't become president for power or anything other then to be a leader and guide the country through the good and bad. Washington was the respectable general of an army and was a strong leader through many important historical battles that changed the course of history.
The Myers and Briggs Analysis is a series of questions that when answered are examined and grouped together in order to determine the personalities of those taking this test. This particular test can result in sixteen different outcomes or types of personalities, which is determined by four different categories that judge if you are introverted or extroverted, use your senses or your intuition, your choice to think or use your feelings, and finally if you are judgmental or perceptive. These series of questions are designed to judge our personalities and help us to determine which career pathways we will be most suited for based on our personality traits and abilities to work well with others, which is important for our future decisions.
Earth is populated by billions of people – one person different from the next. While physical traits like fingerprints and DNA give people their individual identity, there is more to identity than physical traits. The experience of tragedy and joy also plays a critical role in giving people their individual identity. Personality is the other factor that separates one person from others, and the personality of an individual depends heavily on his or her beliefs, culture, and the environment in which he or she is raised. There are several different types of personality tests that one can take to identify certain traits of his or her identity, and one of them is the Myers Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI). According to MBTI and my life experience, as an ISTP I possess an inquisitive mind, an adventuresome spirit, and a desire to be active.
Much of Jung’s work, controversial as it was, is still in use or extended upon to some degree today. Katherine Briggs and her daughter Isabel Briggs Myers developed the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator based on Jung’s categorization of the psyche. Through taking this test, one can be identified as being one out of sixteen different categories such as ENFJ (extroverted feeling with intuiting) or ISTJ (introverted sensing with thinking). Jung’s Word Association test is also in wide use in the psychiatric field today.
