What Humans are doing to this Planet.
“Global warming is already having significant and harmful effects on our communities, our health, and our climate.” (Cole). Global warming is one of the more controversial hot topics that have been on the rise over the last few years. Global warming can refer to a plethora of things, but typically is known as the gradual warming of earth’s surface temperature due to pollution and what is known as “the greenhouse effect”. The greenhouse effect is a natural phenomenon in which sunlight is used to warm the earth's surface, typically some sunlight is reflected back into the atmosphere, but due to a great deal of pollution not nearly as much is anymore thus warming the earth more than usual. Over the past few years this has caused many problems for the earth such as, changes in weather patterns, thawing of permafrost, droughts, wildfires and much more. Earth has hit an all time peak for temperatures and is only predicted to increase from here. Global warming is a very serious issue in which every aspect of life on earth is affected, if it isn't put to a halt soon, the results could be disastrous. Every aspect of life on earth is currently being effected by it. The overall higher-than-normal temperatures have caused a plethora of issues for wildlife, marine life, natural habitats and humans. Glaciers that have been in place for hundreds of years are suddenly starting to shrink, the sea levels in many oceans have risen significantly, weather patterns have shifted and natural disasters are much more frequent. Countless animals have been displaced, many habitats have been destroyed by global warming and humans too have been displaced due to the now unpredictable weather. This all may not seem like the biggest deal, but if the human population continues with their living patterns all the effects previously mentioned will become incomparably
