The Athens and Sparta were both two powerful city states in Greece, but have many similarities and differences. In both city states women had little to no power. Both Athens and Sparta had no political life, followed behind the men, they were not citizens, and could not vote. Sparta women requirements were mostly raise healthy sons for war, and take over when their husbands or fathers left for war.
Along with the women rights back in Greece, Sparta and Athens social structure was very similar. The social classes has the familiar upper, middle, and lower class.
