WATER CONSERVATION
Water conservation means using our water wisely and caring for it properly. Since each of us depends on water for life.
The challenges which people are facing when conserving water in their community, people come across many challenges when conserving water because some people do not know the importance of saving water, one of the biggest water wasters outside is over watering at the wrong time of day.
The purpose of my investigation is to find how many people know about water conservation and how they are conserving water in their different areas.

According to the people I interviewed most people believe that it is important to save water because sometimes running water in their house holds may not be available for a week or even months. In their case they save water for later use in circumstance like that.

We must learn to save water now for the future. The quality of our water is very important.
We have the same amount of water now as there was when the earth was created. This is the water we have, and we must preserve its quality. Water is the foundation of food and life. Next to air, water is our most precious resource. We cannot live without water. Saving water helps to preserve our environment it reduces the energy required to process and deliver water, which helps in reducing pollution and in conserving fuel resources. Saving water now means having water available in the future for recreational purposes, too. Conserving the water we have minimizes the effects of water shortages and helps build a better defense against future drought years. Building dams will help in keep water around our community because we may run taps from our dams and not forgetting to clean up water first and these will help in getting water from the rain. Water Resource Assessments
Water resource assessments are an important part of Broward’s IWRP. The purpose of these assessments is to plan for the water supply needs of the entire county. One objective is to identify how much water is needed, where it’s needed, and for what type of activity. Broward County has developed an extensive water conservation program called “Water Matters” that has relevance to all of Broward’s water users – including residents, businesses, industries and political leaders. The program addresses both indoor and outdoor water use, but especially targets outdoor activities, which can account for up to 50% of our water consumption.
