When a baby is born it brings joy to another life. With its fragile fingers to its tiny toes, each breath unknowingly stretches a smile across its mothers face. The nine lengthy months of lugging around extra weight and craving the oddest snacks turn into years of watching the child grow. As a child blossoms, it learns and grasps onto aspects. Yet there are a select few who learn faster. Those whose minds collect everything and use it to their advantage. Those are the ones that become successful in life and know their destiny. Not everyone is granted the gift to be inspirational, knowledgeable, and revolutionary. The fans of this company, which created the culture, of course fell in love with everything Disney, from the characters to the theme parks. The company has shaped entertainment for the world, creating new forms of entertainment including animations, children movies, colored films, and musical movies. Not all children have the privilege to go to Disneyland, but with the different movies and TV shows now circulating the world, Disney has made an impression on our youth, in the best possible way. Disney represents our children's imagination, creativity, hope, dreams, and debatably the most important one: family bonding time. Walt Disney’s Snow White was one of the first movies to produce retail products, that were distributed before the film release in order to maximize profit, giving Walt Disney the appearance of creating the marketing strategy. One of the most prominent methods of advertising that Disney used, was advertisements directed towards the children alone. For example, when a child would watch Disney’s television show, they would become enveloped and fascinated by what they saw. Walt also added more disney characters to the films. Walt loved the idea of Disney characters so much that he wanted to bring them to life to make children and families happy. Walt came up with the idea of creating an amusement park with rides, disney characters, sweet treats,and art pieces. He called these two amusement parks Disneyland, Anaheim and Disney World, Florida Walt did this because he knew that these two amusement parks would make him well known and nobody would ever forget who this brilliant man is. The Disney corporation is easily the greatest empire of entertainment in the world, thanks to the creator Walt Disney and his brother. Disney’s influence has been great within culture and society and I learned how much of an influence Disney has had through our course this semester. This influence is reflected and broadcast through the many works and readings that we examine in class. The articles gave me new knowledge about Disney that I was previously unaware of.
Walter Disney was the entrepreneur who had the creative skills. Knowing his limitations, he let other people do what he couldn't do good enough himself. This is an important skill, as it leads to quality products being made. The step from making short cartoons to doing full length cartoons and later live-action movie production is quite natural. What is not that natural and straight forward, and at the same time significant to the success of Disney, is the way in which Disney started to integrate vertically when they created the Buena Vista Distribution. The vertical integration along with the horizontal diversification has allowed for the exceptional building and exploitation of the huge synergies that exists in Disney, and which has to be regarded as the main reason for the success of Disney.
The building of Walt Disney World took time and planning. Disney world opened on October 1, 1971, but it wasn’t the same as it is today. It only started as the Magic Kingdom, two hotels, and a campground, and that was what everybody loved. Disney World was named after Walt Disney, even though he wasn’t there when Disney World opened. He died in 1966, but it was his vision that started Disney.

This essay aims to explore and discuss all factors that have been instrumental in the continuing mainstream success of Disney, such as its early days, obstacles and successes, and Walt Disney’s constant push for advancement and innovation within the field and accepted procedures. It will then go on to examine how the marketing techniques and commercial expertise was able to promote the films financial success and audience attachment.
