The visual effects dramatically contributed to the event which made it second most important performance criteria is. The visual effect is made of lighting, the temperature set, the sound surround system, and the resonance. Great performances are accompanied by good lighting. The event had a good lighting. There was a great distribution between the darkness verses light. The color is also important. It was an amazing cold golden color surrounded by dark. It was lovely and relaxing to the eyes. I did not have to blink hundreds of times protecting my eyes due to bad lighting. My eyes were gorgeously and slowly winking. That rapturous lighting was facilitated by great sound .Surround system is a must in all events that sustains good resonance …show more content…
that does not conflict with the main sound. It guarantees a friendly sound to the ear. I had in the even one of the best experiences with high definition sound surround system with well projected resonance. And it was loud enough to get my all attention focused on the snapping. As far as the temperature set is concerned, obviously, the hall should neither be very hot not cold. It was set fantastically. It was just that nice cold. It was neither hot so that I unclean my fascinating dress with sweat nor I wished I had brought a jacket It was distributed perfectly that integrated my all ear parts to participate listening. It was adjusted professionally that it was teasing my ear. The physical performer appearance is essential.
The performer was a gorgeous lady with a blue pupil that made the show attractive. The physical appearance involves the dress of the performer which is very important since it critiques the performer and send a message about him/her. It also classifies the formality of the performance. In the event, the performer was dressed in Ophelia' Vintage dress. It was beautiful and very formal that reflected respect of the audience by the performer. Definitely, a performer is not going to be dressed sporty or half naked in such an event. It is just a norm. Furthermore, the color selection is also important. Black color usually for sad events. And a performer should not be dressed all in yellow. It is harsh for the eye especially with lighting in the stage. The performer chose the right color for her event which was blue. In the actual factuality, the sex of the player played a role in the event. The performer was a female. It played a role in the sense that females represents the affection, softness, beauty, and feelings. And since a violin is considered a soft instrument unlike bongos for instance, tremendous merge formed even though events with male performers can be great as well. It is the best when a violin is performed by a lady since it is a soft instrument. Her hair style, and her makeup were perfect. All of these are elements that make a performer very strong and contribute to a great
performance.
“Dance is movement aware of itself. Dance is purposeful movement that employs artful communication to express ideas and feelings, meaning that aesthetic intention is present” (Cornett, 2014, p 394). Art could be anywhere and anything it just needs to have creativity in order to make it unique and beautiful. One simple art form, could speak for a thousand words and convey many significant messages such as the art form of dance. Baile Folklorico is a great example of communicating in a unique and a stunning art form. Baile Folklorico is a folk dance that elaborates different dances, music and costumes to represent a Latin or Mexican culture.
Many might have been working on Good Friday, but many others were enjoying The Frist Museum of Visual Arts. A museum visitor visited this exhibit on April 14, 2017 early in the morning. The time that was spent at the art museum was approximately two hours and a half. The first impression that one received was that this place was a place of peace and also a place to expand the viewer’s imagination to understand what artists were expressing to the viewers. The viewer was very interested in all the art that was seen ,but there is so much one can absorb. The lighting in the museum was very low and some of the lighting was by direction LED lights. The artwork was spaciously
Music videos are apart of humans visual language, they are an artform and although they are arguably on the decline, music videos are an important factor of an artists career. Due to new technologies music is consumed on the internet and forgotten about daily. So from a record label point of view, an artist needs something bigger than an a song to get noticed; artists need strong creative visuals to give them a substantial competitive advantage over their peers (Boardman). A music video takes the artists voice and gives them a visual language to connect to their listener, and gives the listener a chance to connect with a wider audience. There are risks associated with music videos, they can either turn out really good and be a cultural phenomenon
The lighting in the performance was fairly basic, for the large majority of the play the lighting was constant. It’s primary use was for functionality purposes, such as to light up the stage so the audience could see, and not to convey any special meaning or set any kind of mood. There were two different types of instances were the lighting would change, too show a passage of ti...
Today I will be describing my design for a music video set in ancient Sumer. My video will depict elements from the Hymns of Inanna and the video of “Blurred Lines.” These two elements will allow a reflection of the cultural metanarrative and the sexual script of ancient Sumer. The video will play out between two gods and a priestess. My video will have four main sections that will breakdown what the video consists of and how it all comes together. These sections will be my main characters, setting, imagery, and lastly the theme of the video. There will be subsections that serve to only expand on each of my main sections and to give clarity to them.
The first painting analyzed was North Country Idyll by Arthur Bowen Davis. The focal point was the white naked woman. The white was used to bring her out and focus on the four actual colored males surrounding her. The woman appears to be blowing a kiss. There is use of stumato along with atmospheric perspective. There is excellent use of color for the setting. It is almost a life like painting. This painting has smooth brush strokes. The sailing ship is the focal point because of the bright blue with extravagant large sails. The painting is a dry textured flat paint. The painting is evenly balanced. When I look at this painting, it reminds me of settlers coming to a new world that is be founded by its beauty. It seems as if they swam from the ship.
...such an historical art form presented in your place of study by talented actors/actress and musicians. I believe they were astonishing in preserving an artwork that has been around for years staying in strict accordance to rules and its fundamentals. I believe the rest of the audience will agree that though it was a different experience for most of us it’s a performance one can never forget.
The arts and ideas event that was the most influential to me was Opera Scenes presented by the Joliet West musical department. The cast consisted of Joliet West students and featured the remastering of some great plays in history including: Romeo and Juliet, the Fairy Queen, Don Giovanni, and Hansel and Gretel. Opera scenes was a performance that captivated the audience with beautiful redemptions from well-known plays throughout history that gave the audience greater context to the play, while also adding an entertaining and humorous effect on the piece.
In the Hindu performance, it was about the creation of a new world. There were various types of visuals added to make the performance more appealing. For starters, the girls had costumes which had great representation of India, where their setting was. The togas helped add to the scene and make it more realistic. The togas were made out of table covers in all different colors. In the beginning, there was a wooden box in which they used to show the story of Perucia, who sacrificed her body to create a new world. Her head became the sky, eyes became the sun, her mind became the moon, her body became the animals, and her feet became the grass. The box was a great way to show a mini story within the story they presented. The graphics and background used added
If you have some free time and have always wanted to visit an art gallery, a start is the Art Sacré exposition. Just do not expect high quality art. Running from October twenty-third to December eight-teenth at Les Salles de Gesù, the exposition features four artists depicting spirituality and inner self.
Though a pageant is not usually what comes to mind when one thinks of a live performance, it is still a live performance none the less. The Mr. Puma pageant, like any other live performance, had many important technical aspects. Most of the lighting for the show was done with a single spotlight above the bleachers in the gym. During dance numbers, the boys were often illuminated in different colors, most prominently pink, the class distinction color for seniors. The music, however, was far too loud even for a large audience, and as a result became obnoxious rather than adding to the quality of the performances as it should have. The microphones were a perfectly volume though, allowing for the large audience to hear the speakers
On September 26, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. the University of South Alabama hosted the USA Symphony Band performance at the Laidlaw Performing Arts Center. The show opened with a series of energetic percussion hits of one the most famous Randall Standridge’s pieces called “Steel”. The beginning part of the composition featured powerful staccatos of the brass section, accompanied by the rest of the orchestra, which immediately produced a rather pompous and festive effect on the audience. As the piece progressed, the music took a softer approach with the help of a glockenspiel and a marching-style snare. Gradually the instruments started to crawl back into the music. At first it was the brass section, which came forward with a call and response pattern. The arrival of the elegant wind section symbolized a transition moment in the piece, creating a
Throughout the semester, we have intensively studied how computer science relates to the world around us, through video games, database systems, and artificial intelligence. But what we have not discussed is how all of these subjects in computer science, like pep8, pseudo code, gates and circuits, relate to our artistic world; dance, music, and live theatre. Listening to a piece of music, or as an audience member watching a dance or theatre performance, one assumes that the entire production, stemmed solely from the creativity of those involved. What most do not realize, is the intensive knowledge of computer science that these artists are required to have to make a production happen. The technical crew of a show raises the curtain on technical and theatrical automation, and a musician uses many different software programs to create digital music. But what would happen if these responsibilities were given solely to an intelligent computer? Or moreover, what would happen if a computer was given the aptitude for the same artistic understanding that is required to do these forms of art? This kind of intelligent environment could expand the expressive potential of the arts and in computer science in many ways, but how will it affect the viewers and performers perception of the traditions of music, dance, and theatre? While intelligence technology often enables new ways of creation, it can also harbor a lack of creativity in the arts, and lacks the “real world” knowledge that an artist, musician, dancer, or choreographer has. Exploring how the arts have affected and contributed to creations in artificial intelligence so far, will help us to understand and predict how it will hinder or benefit the creativity and reality of the arts, as ...
An expressionist play makes subjectivity the main point. It also is known as a station drama that refers to religion process to being saved. Some formal features that are in an expressionist play have many characters with big monologs. Characters with titles instead of names. The play would have crossfading scenes because this was a moment in theater in the 1920s when cinema expanded. The dialogue was more lyrically poetry based with sound escapes throughout the scenes. A play that has these traits to classify as an expressionist play is The Good Person Of Setzuan.
Society has been long identified primarily with the exploration of relationships and interdependencies among specialized institutions and aspects of communal life, such as the economy, the State, the family, and religion. The oldest sub fields in the “discipline of sociology are those that concentrate on social phenomena that have not previously been adopted as objects of study by other of the social sciences.” 0 These include marriage and the family, social inequality and social stratification, ethnic relations, “deviant” behavior, urban communities, and complex or formal organizations. Sub fields of more recent origin examine the social aspects of gerontology and the sociology of sex and gender roles. Because nearly all human activities involve social relations, another major source of specialization within sociology is the study of the social structure of areas of human activity. These areas of teaching and research include the sociology of politics, law, religion, education, the military, occupations and professions, governmental bureaucracies, industry, the arts, science, language, medicine, mass communications, and sport. Consequently, society with all of its twists and turns generates an intriguing and long disputed social phenomenon, culture. Culture is generally defined as a set of beliefs, behavior, language, and an entire way of life of a particular group of people at a particular time. It includes customs, ceremonies, works of art, inventions, technology, and traditions. Thus the term’s interpretation entails and describes the intellectual and artistic achievements of a society in general; it’s the societal “mental programmer”.
