Some time ago, Gunvalson partnered with someone to launch an alcohol brand. It was tentatively titled, “Vicki's Vodka.” It never went anywhere and there were allegedly some shady dealings between the pair. Things got complicated and the courts were involved. There was a suit filed against her former partner and one against Ayers. According to Radar Online, Vicki Gunvalson received the judgment Brooks Ayers was award from the court. It was a lot of money, probably more money than Ayers has seen in his lifetime.
As preparations for the tell-all book are coming together, Vicki Gunvalson can rest easy knowing she cannot be a part of it. Brooks Ayers promised to come clean about everything, including the fact that he is alleging that Bravo fabricated his cancer for ratings. The Real Housewives of Orange County hasn't had issues garnering ratings over a decade, why would they do this now? The show is fair game for now, unless there was also a clause signed on behalf of the Bravo network. Gunvalson was smart to have that agreement signed at the

...e the beginning of time, Television has been one the most influential pieces of media that the world has ever encountered. Bravo TV’s hit number one reality television show, The Real Housewives of Atlanta, deals with the everyday lives of modern-day “housewives”. The show stands strong with the critics and its faithful viewers around the world. Clearly, the show is not going astray anytime soon. Long hair, which conforms to the ideal of femininity, perplexes me; hence, my supposedly rebellious bobbed haircut. On any given day, I would choose a formless dress over an overbearing corset. I still cannot understand why my chunky sandals with the Bohemian vibe make people gasp. However, these individuals could also be gasping at the cigarette in my mouth. I am my own person; notice that my maiden name is still my official name because I refuse to take the identity of my husband. To some, I may be perceived as a troublemaker. In actuality, I am a woman who is willing to take action because I am keenly aware of the struggles that women face daily in all aspects of their lives. Furthermore, I am willing to dedicate my life to the feminist movement.

Elisabeth Vigée-Lebrun was one of the most successful painters of her time. Over the course of her life, spanning from 1755-1842, she painted over 900 works. She enjoyed painting self portraits, completing almost 40 throughout her career, in the style of artists she admired such as Peter Paul Rubens (Montfort). However, the majority of her paintings were beautiful, colorful, idealized likenesses of the aristocrats of her time, the most well known of these being the Queen of France Marie Antoinette, whom she painted from 1779-1789. Not only was Elisabeth Vigée-Lebrun the Queen’s portrait painter for ten years, but she also became her close, personal friend. She saw only the luxurious, carefree, colorful, and fabulous lifestyle the aristocracy lived in, rather than the poverty and suffrage much of the rest of the country was going through. Elisabeth kept the ideals of the aristocracy she saw through Marie Antoinette throughout her life, painting a picture of them that she believed to be practically perfect. Elisabeth Vigée-Lebrun’s relationship with Marie Antoinette affected her social standing, politics, painting style, and career.

The United States of America became a new nation that influenced other nations to change the world into becoming freer so people can have a say. People had the courage to cross unknown oceans and territories, sail miles and miles away from the comforts and familiarities of home, and set out to create a new lifestyle in a great land they
Red Barber offered to be Vin’s mentor as a baseball broadcaster. He first broadcasted for the Dodgers In 1950. When the Dodgers moved from New York to Los Angeles, Vin came with them and announced their very first game in Los Angeles, California. Vin absolutely loved everything about his job as a broadcaster. He once said, “This is the way the game is - you win, you lose, you celebrate, and you suffer.” (Quotes 2). In 1989, he got laryngitis and took a little hiatus from broadcasting. In the short time he was gone, NBC was not allowed to stream Major League Baseball. They needed Vin to keep things running smoothly. From the 1980’s-1990’s, Vin broadcasted baseball games, except the 3rd and 7th innings. At this time, he would have his partners, Jerry Doggett and Ross Porter broadcast. Everyone loved Vin’s broadcasting style and there was even a rumor once that he got an offer to be a broadcaster of the New York Yankees. He married Joan Crawford, but she passed away in 1972. The very next year, he married Sandra Hunt, who already had three children from a previous marriage. They had one child, Michael, who died in a helicopter crash at the age of 33. Vin’s adult life was the main time period of his successful

The headlines read “Kudrow Loses $1.6 Million Lawsuit”. How could it be when she was at the height of her career? The comedian had millions of people reading and gabbing about her insane salary of $1 million … per episode. Not only her, but each of the cast members of the show Friends was raking in big dollars. On the other side of this scenario is Kudrow's and her former manager, Scott Howard's lawsuit. The two appeared in a civil court hearing over the accusation that she owed Howard money and lots of it. The money came from his stand that Kudrow was liable because she broke her contract. She allegedly owed him $1.6 million of unpaid residuals from 1991-2007. The final decision of 10-2 was in Howard's favor for future and previous monetary losses.
Reality Television has changed television in a way that no one could have imagined. Being the one of the most talked about genre in history, it is seen by millions of viewers. It has more ratings than any other kind of show (Breyer 16). From its start, there have been many Reality Television shows. Shows like The Real World, Survivor, Big Brother, and Jersey Shore. All of these give off a negative portrayal of reality. While Americans watch these shows, it seems that the show is real life, but in reality, no pun intended, before the show is even filmed, it’s written, edited, and produced (Breyer 21). Writers humiliate and degrade people just for the plot of the show, making their private lives public (Breyer 16).
We see that even celebrities are like this, so it becomes socially acceptable to be selfish or sociopathic. This is because “[reality shows] tell us that existence is to be centered on the practices and desires of the self rather than the common good” (Hedges, 32). The goal of a reality show is to acquire the sought after fame and wealth. Regardless of the method used to get to the end goal, people will do whatever it takes to reach it. This is why reality shows immensely influence the social relations we make in life. Seeing people on television doing these unnecessary and malevolent actions, it urges us to do the same; as if doing so, will help us reach our own end goal. And this is precisely what happens in the reality show “Survivor,” as Tina, Mad Dog Maralyn’s best friend, casts her vote to eliminate her, despite their friendship. It didn’t matter how strong their friendship was, when it came to winning, Tina paid no heed to Mad Dog. She states after her vote, that “it [had] nothing to do with [Mad Dog]. This vote has everything to do with a promise I made. I love you" (Hedges, 32). This sort of backstabbing betrayal is only further intensified by the magnitude of competition. Tina clearly could not prioritize her friendship with Mad Dog in a setting in which winning meant everything. She was blinded by the temptations of greed and the desire to be a celebrity. Another way to put it, is that “human beings [have] become a commodity in [the] celebrity culture… They are objects, like consumer products” (Hedges, 29). As a society, individualism has been cruelly thrown out for the pristine image celebrities are presented to us by the media. No longer do we value the unique individuals, we all want to become celebrities; manufactured to the point where we do not have an identity of our own. Celebrity images are essentially reflections of
