In ten years I see myself still in college working to become a veterinarian. I do not know what college I would hope to be at ,but that I am out of regular college and just starting veterinarian school. I won’t have a career just yet ,but possibly a side job of a waitress and volunteering at the humane society once a week. My goal is very important to me because I love helping animals and I to try my best doing so. My dog means the world to me and I would want the best work done on her if something bad happened to her. The satisfaction of my career would be to care for the animals in need and successfully helping the animals. Veterinary technicians are like the techies of the theatre; the organization would be able to function without them, but it would be much harder. Things run a lot more smoothly with vet techs. There are multiple benefits that come with being a veterinary technician. These benefits include, but are not limited to, a high job outlook, great room for advancement, and only two years of schooling (depending on the route you take). Above all, the animals, who aren’t always able to help themselves, are being taken care of.
Equine veterinarians are animal doctors who provide medical care for horses. They examine, test and occasionally operate on or euthanize the animals. Travel to ranches and farms is often necessary, and equine vets have to work outdoors in various types of weather conditions. Being an equine veterinarian is a pleasant career choice because of great interactions with varied types of horses and their owners , the basic information, and the pros and cons of an equine veterinarian.
For as long as I can remember, my childhood dream has always been wanting to become a veterinarian. While other kids were outside having fun at the playground, I was at the library reading books and learning about the different animals. However, as I matured, I realized that being a veterinarian isn’t just about caring for and assisting injured animals. Being a veterinarian means having the ability to make quick decisions in stressful situations, showing complete dedication and passion to this profession, and being able to effectively communicate to pet owners.
I’ve gone to small school all my life, but I big dreams that I wish to accomplish. Most of the time our teacher gives us tests to find out what career would be best for us. Finally I got the answers that I wanted for a test, oh and I’m Larissa Smith, I got Veterinarian Technician and Registered Nurse. I have been looking into these careers since i was little, they have always applied to me because I love animals and helping people if they are hurt. I have always wanted to work with animals and help people that are injured.
Dogs are like a man’s best friend, they go everywhere you go, they behave, they also fallow orders. A world with dogs is a world of happiness. Being a veterinary technician can be a difficult career, there will be many years of training depending on what job there are.

When I was growing up and always playing with animals, I realized what I might want to do with my life. Since animals are, for the most part, vulnerable and helpless, they need someone to take care of them. For animals in need to survive and carry on, there must be a caring person willing to take time out of their day to care for these animals. This person is responsible for providing care such as feeding, cleaning, giving water and administering medication to animals in veterinary offices, zoos, laboratories or animal hospitals. This person is called a veterinary assistant (Writer).
Helping animals and taking care of their daily activities is fun, especially when they are super excited and happy to play. The job that this happens in is in veterinary technicians, who help veterinarians with their daily duties. Playing with the animals and helping with their exams and daily activities would be the best part of the day. It could be very interesting for most people because if they love animals, and helping animals get better, without actually performing surgery on the animal this would be a great job for them. The joy of taking care of an animal might be the highlight of someone's day, because of the thought of knowing that they just helped it become even stronger to survive.
Through my experiences, I have learned the reality of veterinary medicine. It is not about playing with puppies and kittens. My clients might not appreciate me, my patients might be difficult, I may get frustrated, and I might not make much money. Yet veterinary medicine is about more than that. It is a career with purpose, a lifelong source of challenge, personal growth, fulfilled academic curiosity, and opportunities to impact lives, both human and animal. In return, I offer a strong scientific aptitude, along with a diverse background and natural empathy. It will not be easy, but a degree in veterinary medicine is, without a doubt, my next pivotal step in
I have a plan to attend college once I graduate high school. I have not yet achieved that goal, but I hope to. I want to attend a two year school and study to be a Vet Technician. Hopefully once I do graduate college, I’ll finally be able to work with animals, My dream career. I’m unsure if I want to keep it simple and work in a shelter, or if I want to save lives and become a vet, or perhaps work as a zookeeper. Growing up. I used to always dream about opening my own “Pet Hotel”, maybe someday I could do that. Honestly, I don’t care much about what I do, as long as I’m happy doing it.
When she was little she could only dream of becoming a veterinarian. Now she is fulfilling her dreams as a Veterinary Technician. "Choose a job you love and you will never work a day in your life”(Henry Hernandez). Being a Veterinary Tech is really a lot of fun as long as you are passionate love with animals. One reason to become a Veterinary Tech is because they get to meet new animals and take care of them too. Loving, respecting, and comforting animals is just a small part in the career of a Veterinary Technician; being detail oriented, strong, and being educated are also very important qualities for a veterinary technician to have.
I am a biology and chemistry major at Harford Community College and am working to obtain an associate of science degree in biology and chemistry- calculus based physics from HCC. My plan is to transfer to the University of Maryland and study Agriculture and Veterinary Medicine with the goal of entering Veterinary School. I have been working towards veterinary school since I was fourteen years old. My passion for the subject began while I was working at Olney Farm, a horse farm in Fallston, MD. I began horseback riding at ten-years old and started volunteering at the farm within five months of my first lesson.
Working in the medical field can be stressful and any care team must be able to think critically and efficiently. Most importantly, the care team must work together, facing the many circumstances life can bring into those double-doors. Whether it be as a nurse, medical assistant, veterinarian or as a veterinary technician, there is one common goal they all share, and that is to save lives and heal the ill in any way that they possibly can.
When I was little my teachers would ask me “Cora, What do you want to be when you grow up”? In reality, I couldn’t make up my mind on what I wanted to be ‘when I grew up’. When I was around seven, I went from wanting to be a Veterinarian to being an Astronaut, then back to a Veterinarian again. Around age 10, I wanted to be a dentist, even though I hate mouths. Then I wanted to be a Veterinarian again. Junior Year of high school came and when we started to research colleges and careers I heard that Premed programs were so hard to get into, and I wasn’t fooling anyone with my grades. I did some research on Veterinarians and I discovered that the Veterinarians don’t really handle the animals like I thought they did. Then I learned about Veterinary Technicians, they do so much with the animals. I
