Vaping is the Future, and the Future is Now
Vaping is a safer alternative to smoking tobacco. It is the act of inhaling vapor through a vaporizer. These vaporizers contain the ingredients: vegetable glycerin, nicotine, natural flavoring, and propylene glycol. Combined, these ingredients form a flavor, what is now called a juice. There are two paths in vaping, one as a hobby, the second path is quitting cigarettes. Many hobbies exist in the vaping community, such as: cloud chasing, building coils, and vape tricks. Cloud chasing is the art of blowing smoke in a thick amount in a far distance. There are many different techniques on how to blow the smoke in an extraordinary fashion. Vaping changed my life, I still have the endurance, teeth, and great smelling breathe today. With vaping, I met new faces, including learning many techniques in cloud chasing, vape tricks, and coil building. I no longer need the assistance from experienced vapers, since I’m one of the experienced ones now. I’ve been in one vape competition, although I didn’t place in the spot I wanted, I gained a lot of experience and enjoyment from the competition. Plenty of my friends smoked cigarettes until I introduced vaping in their lives. They began to play soccer again without any issues, and breathing became normal for them once …show more content…
Mastering techniques could help teach others that vaping is healthier than smoking tobacco by a huge percentage. Cloud chasing, vape tricks, and the art of building has made vaping a popular factor in this current generation. Although vaping is taking over cigarette companies, companies will try to pay the government to make it illegal, yet the vaping community wont allow that with the bond they built. As Riptrippers, one of the most famous vapers on the internet, says, “smoking is dead, vaping is the future and the future is
Growing up with a best friend who has been smoking since middle school, I have seen many of the negative effects it has on a person. Football was a passion and way of life for Andy; however, smoking caused him to struggle with breathing while running up and down the field. He would cut down on his daily amount of cigarettes before and during the season, but cutting down was little help for him. Not only was his breathing affected by smoking, but he also had yellow teeth, smoker’s cough, and would get “the shakes” when in need of a smoke.

Advice on the Risks of Nicotine Replacement Therapies for Smoking Cessation (e-cigarettes gum and patches) Are e-cigarettes better than other conventional therapies?
For those who smoke cigarettes and will continue to do so, making a switch to smoking e-cigarettes would be a safer alternative. Goniewicz is a cancer researcher in the Department of Health Behavior at the Roswell Park Cancer Institute in Buffalo, New York (Reuters, 2014). He and his colleagues conducted two studies of secondhand smoke exposure to e-cigarette vapors in a laboratory and the results were published in Nicotine and Tobacco Research (Reuters, 2014). In the first study they had an electronic machine that generated the vapors in an enclosed space and then they proceeded to measure the amount of nicotine and other potentially harmful gasses and particle that were in the air along with carbon monoxide that was generated. In the second study they used five men who smoked cigarettes on a regular basis and also smoked e-cigarettes. Each man entered a room and smoked his usual...
I can understand why I found it cool, many people did, and still do. There’s some kind of dangerous and risky appeal to it. But, it’s place on my personal pedestals has definitely been replaced by other blooming trends and things I consider cool. There is no strong force still drawing me to smoking cigarettes and i’m thankful for that. Thankful that I listened to my parents and never smoked, and thankful that I wasn’t like some of those children from my hometown in India that actually got addicted. Before, I was drawn to smoking because it was strange and mysterious, yet it had some kind of elegance. Now that i’m more capable of understanding this thing and its side effects, therefore I feel no need to try it. More so, over the years it lost it’s power over me because as multitudes of facts and reports of its negative side effects were released and it became less idolized since more people realized how physically dangerous it
From my late teens, into my mid-twenties, I was a smoker. At first, it was just recreational; however that changed fairly quickly. I began buying them and smoking regularly throughout the day. It then progressed to smoking a pack per day until it was too late. I was officially addicted. I knew it was a terrible habit and I was shamed of it and would hide it from friends and family hoping they wouldn’t find out. Finally, after coughing hacking, and repeatedly getting sick several times a year, I came to the realization that I had to quit. However, it wasn’t as easy as I had anticipated. After relapsing several times before I was finally able to quit, I broke this terrible habit successfully. It was an extremely difficult habit to break and I’ll never go back. I was a lucky individual who had the mental toughness and willpower to overcome this strong addiction, but Americans struggle to quit each year, and many never do. However, there’s a new product on the market today called electronic cigarettes that are believed to aid individuals in the fight against addiction. It’s a battery powered device that heats a nicotine diluted solution into a vapor that is then inhaled. It’s believed to be a healthier, more affordable alternative to tobacco cigarettes. It is much safer because it doesn’t have nearly as many harmful chemicals as tobacco cigarettes and it’s believed to be much more affordable for consumers. However, many critics believe that electronic cigarettes are extremely addictive and just as harmful. Although electronic cigarettes are believed to be detrimental to people’s heath due to low quality product standards, harmful components in filling solution, and reports suggesting they’re addictive and just as harmful as toba...
There is a new trend hitting the market known as e-cigarettes, or “vaping.” Many people believe that e-cigarettes are better than traditional cigarettes, but research shows just how unhealthy and harmful e-cigarettes are for everyone. The FDA has not yet decided if e-cigarettes should be regulated like tobacco products. E-cigarettes are marketed to help people quit smoking and live a healthier nonsmoking life. E-cigarettes are meant to help break the habit of smoking, but why are there so many “toxic chemicals” (Gilger) in the vapor? Is this new invention to help people quit smoking or just another way for tobacco companies to get richer?
Have you ever wondered what happens when you inhale the liquid from a vape? Many people that vape think it's a better alternative than smoking and actual cigarette, or they think it's safer than cigarettes. Almost everyone knows the health risks involved with smoking tobacco. Electronic cigarettes (e-cigarettes) give habitual smokers the most promising results of tobacco reduction or cessation. There are some that disagree with the use of e-cigarettes however; the benefits are exceptional for those looking to quit this habit. It significantly lowers their health risks related with smoking tobacco and, unlike cigarettes, it does not release any harmful toxic chemical substances. E-cigarettes are also more cost efficient than buying a pack of cigarettes. Although there are some that oppose the use of the economical e-cigarettes, the advantages are greater because
Over time, the need for a cigarette increases and the harder it becomes to quit smoking. Some users turn to smoking alternatives in order to quit. The first thing a smoker will reach for is something that looks and feels similar to a normal cigarette. Electronic cigarettes or “e-cigs” were made to resemble the taste and feeling that a tobacco cigarette gives. These combustible cigarettes use water vapor combined with nicotine to re-create the high levels of tobacco.... ...
Many actions have been taken on vaping and cigarettes, such as only allowing people over or at the age of eighteen to buy the product and putting warning labels on products. The serious issue is there needs to be action applied to the fact that these products can kill a human being. There is a wide variety of policies being passed for vaping and cigarettes. A vaping regulation is trying to pass allowing all vape companies to carry similar products back when vaping first started. This could cause the vaping market to crash, making people lose money, and most importantly jobs.
Many people have given up smoking in exchange for vaping. Many vapers that were former smokers have found there are some side effects to vaping. However these side effects have proven to be temporary. One ex-smoker has created a website that shares his story as well as his findings on the use of vapes and e-cigarettes in his own personal life. The side effects he found were “Dry skin, Dry mouth, Rash/burning sensation on face, Itchiness, Puffy/dry eyes, Caffeine sensitivity, Minor blood nose issues”. Theses side effects however were much milder than the side effects he found corresponding to Cold-Turkey quitting of tobacco which include “’Quit zits’, Bleeding gums, Susceptibility to colds and the flu, Various skin issues, Anxiety, An increase in coughing, Dizziness, Insomnia, Dry throat”. Some of the side effects of smoking can prove to be life-long problems that eventually lead to
Eighth grade was the first time I saw my friends smoke at a party, and at first I couldn’t believe they were already addicted to cigarettes at such a young age. After being offered a few cigarettes and turning them down, I started to build up a curiosity about why cigarettes were so enjoyable to people. Eventually I confronted a friend, and she said she wasn’t exactly sure as to why she liked them but she assured me that she only did it when she was drinking. I figured I would try it thinking it must be something incredible. Turns out, it’s not great at all. I started coughing and it didn’t even taste good. While it caused me to have a ten-minute buzz afterwards, it seemed pointless to every smoke again. Another reason was that I was afraid of becoming addicted, and why would I ever want to pay that much money for something that would eventually kill me? It’s still hard for me to understand why anyone enjoys smoking, but after taking this course I can at least understand what initiates the addiction
Everyone knows that cigarettes are horrible for your health and increase your risks of cancer. Not too long ago there was a big advertisement for e-cigarettes also known as vaping. It was advertised to be a healthier alternative and comparable to a nicotine patch to help you quit smoking. Many people began to question this new form of smoking and if it was really a safer alternative. Even though vaping is a safer alternative than smoking, vaping is not harmless because you are still getting nicotine, inhaling poison and risking a weaker immune system.
A study from Hatsukami and colleagues (2010) about reducing the levels of nicotine in tobacco, in order to help prevent addiction and help wean off the habit brought a different alternative to quit tobacco. A new technology has arrived and it has been beneficial by weaning off smokers from nicotine and it is called the electronic cigarette. According to Stifferlin (2014), “researchers found that based on the evidence, e-cigs are much less harmful to smokers and bystanders compared to conventional cigarettes” and researchers also found “that e-cigs can help some users cut down on their use of regular cigarettes and even quit.” Due to the fact that e-cigs are fairly new, researchers are still unaware the health issues it may bring. Currently e-cigs are better than a traditional cigarette because of the fewer toxins it
