Vaccinations have become a widely talked about topic. Many people have reasons why people should get vaccinated while others think they shouldn’t. I think the option should be up to the person doing it and if they believe it will help their body. People should have a choice, and shouldn’t be forced into getting vaccinated because the government thinks it will reduce sickness rate. I think a person should get vaccinated because it can reduce sickness and death rate. Countless diseases are going on around the world, that keeps getting passed to others. They lead to people getting sick, but vaccines can reduce that. Numerous people become sick just because one person didn’t take a vaccine. That one person could, “endanger the life and health of innocent bystanders”(Singer). Vaccines can’t cure or stop all sickness, but it can reduce them which would really help. More people taking vaccines will lead to less people getting sick,which will result with less deaths. Over the years vaccines have improved lives because they, “ played the critical role in the decline of deaths due to infectious diseases such as measles, whooping cough, and diphtheria, all of which claimed many lives in the past” (Reider). Not taking vaccines can get one sick who then will pass to another person, which could end a life. Too many people have died from sickness in the past, and vaccines have been able to reduce that. The number of deaths from diseases has decreased because of vaccines. Also, I think with less people dying from sickness, crime rate will reduce too. Some criminals do crime because they have lost a loved one that could have been taken from them by sickness. So I think vaccines can help more than just decrease the death rate, so people should get
